Fair play to him, its a very good letter.

In fairness to Paddy, he is more vocal that the rest of them down there, a few weeks before Cheltenham he was talking up Champagne Fever as the Supreme Novice winner and we see how the price went and what happened.

Very good letter by P Mullins & shows plenty of detail on all the horses beaten by Hurricane Fly!

    Shhhhhh!, Patrick.

Don't go ruining the price for cheltenham when he'll make mugs of the doubters yet again.

He basically just saying what all the HF fans have been saying for years to the doubters, the mugs will always be against him dying to see him fail they rubbbed it right in when he got beat in that champion hurdle when clearly not right,he is the greatest hurdle ive personally seen, the people who said sure he just beats solwhit got put in their place when solwhit raided england last season for two grade 1s.

he will win the ch again come march and us followers will be collecting as usual

He put this up because Mccririck and his elk have tried to run him down.I fear this Champion Hurdle is looking very smart and he may struggle imo. There are young unexposed horses to beat this time. Why did Willie not come out and debunk the anti Irish Mccririck???

Didnt think Jezki or MTOY were amazing performances

I haven't seen anything to make Hurricane Fly miss any sleep yet. He will slaughter Jezki. And The New One and MTOY will have to step forward a lot to bother him.

Also love the way Paddy Mullins calls him 'Fly' and not 'the fly'.

The Hurricane Fly lovers are as bad as the so called haters. You can't say a bad word about him! :) First things first he is one of the greatest hurdlers of all time and is the best jumper of a hurdle I've ever seen. I thought he would win the Champion Hurdle two years ago, he didn't. Last year I thought he would be beaten, he wasn't. Are people not allowed have slight questions about him for this season without being labelled doubters and haters? Without question this is going to be the toughest champion hurdle field he has faced providing they all get there sound, he is another year older aswell. His reappearance wouldn't exactly fill you with confidence and in my opinion he's not at his best around Cheltenham. In saying that I think 13/2 is a big each way price.

MTOY is last years Darlan for me

For me the best of the previous season's 2m novices but I'm not sure Cheltenham plays to his strengths. I was tempted to have a decent bet on him ante post before Aintree last year purely to trade as I envisaged him arriving unbeaten in March but not having run at Cheltenham again leaving a nice trade in place.

I'm guessing he'll go Xmas hurdle and maybe either the Kingwell or isn't there a CH hurdle trial in Sandown also? JP will surely run Jezki in the AIG so a spin over to Ireland is surely out.

Yes. The Jeski that ran today would have been 3rd at best in the Morgiana. Zaidpour is awful.

So you think Marito would have finished ahead of Jezki? Fair enough, I think you are underestimating Jezki though. He needs to jump far better than he did today if he wants to be in the mix come March though.

I think Jezki might have beaten him that day but either Willie had left loads to work on or he's way past his best. I'm not sure. Basically I'm saying I'm not sure had Jezki beaten him that I'd be betting on a repeat come March

I'm in no way disrespecting HF but as you correctly stated above he's a year older & this years field is shaping up to be a cracking renewal, better than the last 3. I'm in no rush to take an AP price but likewise in no rush to write "the Fly" (sorry Richie :pac:) off! Rooster Booster came to Cheltenham as a 10yo reigning champion in 2004 & found one too good after starting a heavily backed 11/8 (I think) favourite. Until I see more 2m hurdles I won't be deciding HF is opposable & I certainly won't be just making the decision to oppose him based on his age alone

Least the clowns wont be cleaned out laying him this year as he will be a big price and the haters will be afraid to lay 5/1 plus on the champion where as they got brave when he was 4/6 and 7/4.

Can't believe Meadowcroft Boy was 7/4. That was a gift! Didn't have a cent on it
though. :o if that was trained by Mullins it would have been 1/3.

Think there is a grade 2 novice chase Stephens Day in Limerick over 2m 3f? Would he be going for that. Think Mikael fell in it last year?

Ted Walsh mentioned somewhere recently that he watched Ballycasey school over fences and he was a good a jumper as any he's ever seen.

Might have been in racing post actually.

Yeah maybes hes a jewson horse not really big into betting ante post on novice chasers, might make an exception for champagne fever in the arkle though.

See Ricci's interview today he said about faugheen he wouldnt be afraid to drop him back in trip to 2 mile, let the games begin mystic meg cant predict where the novices go :pac:

I dont have a contact in the stable, for some reason people think I claim to have someone to ring when I want to get info,my mate is friends with two jockeys who ride for the stable and gets a bit of info every while,CF is arkle certainty imo,I was talking to Andrew Lynch today he said the potts horse is a lot better than he showed in the bumper yesterday and dont give up on grey monk said he wasnt impressive but the time was good he thinks.

What I have heard and people will have a go at me but Champagne Fever is aimed at the Arkle[did not see this in any way].SDC is working very very poor and it looks like 2013 Gold Cup has hit all the top finishers.
