Have you a monitor? Are you going to build it or do you want it built. Are you willing to overclock?

Now you can make some chops to that bring down the cost.

Get only 4 gigs of ram for 34 euro and pick up another 4 when ram prices come back down.

That will knock about 30 off

You can get a cheaper case maybe

Knock about 20 to 30 depending how tight your budget is.

I wouldn't recommend messing with power supply or CPU cooler as you are overclocking.

This looks a lot like what my son wants to do for Christmas - he wants us to buy the stuff then he builds his own gaming pc. It's right at the limit of our budget (much more than we intended to spend) but we're willing to see if we can get the money together because he's a teenager and he'll learn stuff from building his own, won't he? And he's said he'll help around the house, etc, etc... so I'm just wondering if, if I cut and past these things into a search engine, a site selling them at around that cost will come up. I'm into boycotting Amazon because of their tax record but I'd be happy to buy from other sellers through Amazon. Thanks for any help. Lucy

Really, really think it is a good idea to let him build his own. Only built my own pc last year and have built 6 more since then. It's a little addictive. Great experience though i couldn't recommend building yourself any higher.

Hardwareversand is the way to go, best prices out there really. Amazon can be great for certain components but can be avoided totally if you feel you need to.

Make your own thread and fill out the sticky someone will put a build together for your needs specifically. Best of luck!
