YouTube app not connecting

Since the last updates YouTube keeps failing to connect to everything on both my tablet and phone. I was able to roll back to the version from the installed ROM on the tablet but on the phone, as there was no YouTube app originally I only have the choice of the borked new one or nothing. Does anyone have a link to an apk…

To the right of the screen yoiu will see different versions, listed by dates.
