Wasn't Valentines day a day to celebrate a saint called Valentine who got his head cut off? Must go actually check that out :pac:

Valentines day is my OHs birthday. He hates it as well because a few of his exes expected him to buy them flowers cards and chocolates. On his birthday.

Our first Valentines/His Birthday, he came home from town with a bunch of flowers and a card. Nearly hit him over the head with them. Told him he was to never do that again. It's not fair on him. I didn't buy anyone anything on my birthday and the same goes for him. Plus I was always anti Valentines day as it's just out and out commercialism. There are another 364 days of the year to tell that special someone you love them or buy them flowers and chocolates. One set day of the year doesn't sound all that romantic.

V day was a bad day last year. Not bringing the thread down. Stating a fact here but it was OHs moms burial that day.

Someone at work was going on about going to dinner and how she had this romantic night planned for herself and her fella. Asked me what I would be at and I told her straight out that I would be sitting in a church with all my inlaws and family, remembering herself and then going back to the house to probably have a few drinks with the OH for his birthday. Shut her up pretty quick like :pac:

Things always seem to happen on my mums bday..she unluckily turned forty on sept 11th! Her step mother was also buried on her birthday a few years later. Mine however was the unofficial bday of the queen for some reason..so yay! Haha
