Nex-6

    Anyone have a nex-6 here? I did a search but didn't find any threads about it. I think I have decided on this camera after lots of research.

    If anyone knows any competitors in the same price range I'm all ears. Planning on getting a mirrorless mainly for the size. I was thinking a Nikon D7000 but the Nex-6 apparently has the same/very similar sensor. I don't care about video at all.

    Anyone know of anywhere cheaper?:D

    I was thinking of this camera too. A guy suggested I also look at the Olympus EPL-5. It doesnt have a viewfinder but seems to have similar performance otherwise but a bit cheaper

    Looking that up now.

    No built in flash - that just seems inconvenient to me.
    No built in viewfinder - but you can attach one.
    Has a metal body vs the plastic body in the Nex-6

    On Amazon it is 541.19 Euro but I'd want it with a viewfinder so that would be another 155.49 Euro (first one I saw) which strangely adds up to the exact same price as the Nex-6 from Amazon (696.68 Euro) :D

    Fair enough. I decided I could live without the view finder (it actually sucks battery quicker than the screen!). When I played with the EPL-5 in the shop I saw the flash (which comes in the box with it), its pretty compact and you can keep it permanently stuck in on top of the camera if you want. I was skeptical at first but when I saw it I thought it worked pretty well.
