Not sure what the best is, but you will see a bloomberg terminal in most large institutions. There are several levels of licence available, but I think the cheapest one still costs a few grand per month!

You don't need the fancy terminal anymore, you can install the software on any pc. It's not just for day trading, it's for everyyything... Not really aimed at the small guys.
