    Hey guys,

I've become recently addicted to.....RAISINS!!! I know it's ridiculous! But they are just soooo yummy and sweet that i now crave them on a daily basis!!!

I know i shouldn't consume more than 25grms but i could easily go through 200grms daily!!! I'm not worried about the calories (as i burn off all excess consumed calories in the gym), but i am looking for an alternative 'snack'?!

Anyone with any ideas..i've tried to gradually cut them out of my diet but with no success! I know alot of it is to do with willpower but i can't help but feel that they are filling and healthy and so tasty that i am reluctact to give them up! Surely they are better than chocolate anyway!

All I can say is don't get the chocolate coated raisins! :D I throw a few into the porridge. How about try a bit of 70 to 90% dark chocolate instead..

Thanks for your reply....haha....yes I know I must never ever buy a packet of chocolate coated raisins as I will be rightly screwed !!!!

Porridge and raisins sound wonderful!!! I am going to give this a go and keep raisins for breakfast only!!!

Dark chocolate won't work for me.....I'd eat the packet!!! :-( ....nice suggestion tho :-P

I have a real sweet tooth also and used to gorge on fruit thinking I was being at least healthy..I think the more sugar you eat (natural or not) the more you crave it. I have cut down in recent weeks and one thing that has helped is apple cider vinegar. It seems to kill my sweet tooth. I actually take shots of the stuff as I love the taste but most people add it to water and drink it that way

I totally agree with you....the more sugar...the more cravings!!! It's actually like a drug!!!

My cravings have only got worst since I've been doing a lot more cardio in the gym!!! I admire people that set aside a day ..generally at the weekend, to indulge in a sugary treat...unlike me !! I really must try harder to break the cycle! I will give the apple cider vinegar a go..where can I get this?

I buy mine in the health food shop as I like to buy it with 'mother' in it..google it to see all supposed health benefits. I can't vouch for any of those but it def kills cravings for me..also I just love the taste! Perhaps my body's way of telling me my PH was out of wack or something. It does apparently help with things like candida which can be aggravated with too much sugar
