Judge bans man from every pub in Dublin. Where have you been banned from?

A man has been banned from every pub in Dublin after running into a bar lounge trying to avoid gardai.

David Lee (30) struck a chasing garda over the head with an object he picked up off a bar table. He knocked over tables and stools after he and Garda Shane Haughney got into a struggle. Lee, who is unemployed, was ordered by a judge to stay out of every pub in the Dublin area for the next 12 months. Judge Alan Mitchell also imposed a four-month sentence suspended for one year.

Lee, of Primrose Grove in Darndale, admitted before Swords District Court to threatening and abusive behaviour and assaulting Gda Haughney.

Sgt Patrick Byrne said gardai were called to Castlegrange estate in Swords shortly after 8pm on March 25 last.

Sgt Byrne said Lee's partner had asked him to leave the house and he agreed to leave the area. Sgt Byrne said Lee then threw a bottle at the patrol car.

He was chased on foot into the Estuary Pub on Swords North Street.

The court heard that Lee has 23 previous convictions, but hasn't been in trouble since February 2012.

I was once banned from a clothes shop after a dispute over a credit note but thankfully never from a bar or club.

Where have you been banned from?

Well isnt he a lovely fellow. And gets 4 months sentence suspended for a year. We all know he wont be out of the pubs and there is no way in hell anyone could ever hope to impose such a stupid sentence. Not that it would solve anything if he was forced to get pissed at home anyway.

If you're unemployed you get drunk and agitated sooner it appears.

    Who's ?

The article says that he's unemployed, as if it has something to do with his behaviour

Well then I guess I'll be getting banned from someplace soon

I may or may not have been banned for life for shutting down a nightclubs security and i may or may not have been dragged in front of a camera and that camera may or may not have been out of order due to the previous security failure so it couldn't get a picture of me.

    Place was a kip though.

I also got banned from a night club toilets. Bonus for a non sexual act and no drugs involved either though

fine i peed in the sink, the queue to the urinals were out the door I was just off a bus and busting. I honestly couldn't wait.

The bouncer was doing his round and seen me and between laughs told me he couldn't explain this to anyone and would have done the same so just said I was banned from that toilet. It was about 10 years ago so I think I have matured since

Barred from the Munich Transport System (MVV) for jumping onto a track to see if there was space under the platform to hide in if a train is coming to avoid getting hit (good news is there is). Ban was for 3 months.

Got barred from the city of Essen for 3 months for being arrested in a demo with almost 1000 other people in 1993 (?). We were staying in Duisburg at the time and after being "sentenced" we all took the train back there via.... Essen.

Is that a different one to the Durty Nellies in CLARE?

got banned from the church for wearing a Deicide t-shirt and giggling like a schoolgirl (I was a schoolboy) during the priesty bit. A very old man with a very red face told me and my buddy to get out and not come back. I think he was one of the dudes who takes care of the collection money. I helped myself to that to buy smokes as well.

If it was mentioned in court why should it not be reported?

Because it simply has nothing to do with his behaviour???

If he was a Lawyer it would read the same ' A 30 year old Lawyer....'

It is common practice.. ' A 30 year old (Input profession/employment type) was arrested...'

Nothing to get riled up about!

Nothing in the report said that it had. Would you object if the court was told he was a builder or a teacher and that was reported in the news?

Well I'm sure I'm over reacting to this but yeah I do find it a bit annoying, since the profession has absolutely nothing to do with the persons behavior, so it's really not necessary to mention??

But they do it all the time in the news. No matter if the story is good or bad. "x a 20 year old student from x" "y a 32 year old shopkeeper from y". It's always been that way and always will. Nothing to be bothered by. I'm unemployed and it wouldn't bother me if it was mentioned in a story about me because it's just the standard.

So drunk in a bar that my ex worked in that I fell asleep on the counter, then told the barman who was wearing a poncho for Cinco de Mayo that he should wear a dress all the time.

Not the smartest move to be barred from the place your girlfriend works...:o

I worked for an electrical contractor for bout 12 years and one memorable Christmas we , as in about twenty/thirty of us got escorted from a pub in Temple Bar , the barmen all had photographic memories and for years later any time any one of us went back in we were asked to leave.

I am a dynamic figure, often seen scaling walls and crushing ice. I have been known to remodel train stations on my lunch breaks, making them more efficient in the area of heat retention. I translate ethnic slurs for Cuban refugees, I write award-winning operas, I manage time efficiently.

Occasionally, I tread water for three days in a row. I woo women with my sensuous and godlike trombone playing, I can pilot bicycles up severe inclines with unflagging speed, and I cook Thirty-Minute Brownies in twenty minutes. I am an expert in stucco, a veteran in love, and an outlaw in Peru.
