Hope Jane sticks along long enough to meet Pete. I wonder if they'll recognise each other from Glenroe?

    Who was she in Glenroe?

Judith is such a snob, bar work is beneath her daughter, she is always interfering as well and thinking he knows best what "the kids" should be doing.

Good auld Tommy told her some home truths though.

Are you sure about that? I thought her dad was an actor in the Reardons. She was in the Clinic a few years back. She's wayyy too young to be playing Callums mother.

I think her Dad was Joe Pilkington, Eamon in The Riordans.

According to google, she's 42. Whether she's in her late thirties or early forties, she looks great - all "mammies" don't all look like "mammies" these days - it's 2013!!!;)

Her judgement is way off wanting Caoimhe to go to medical school. She has such a horrid, unkind personality. She'd be turning off patients life support so she could clock off. Next Harold shipman.

That's a coincidence cos Carol's (Aisling O'Neill) Dad was Michael in The Riordans

Paul is thrown when Jane mentions their kiss and claims there is chemistry between them. Paul refuses to acknowledge her, instead telling her to shut up and forget it. He is steadfast that the kiss meant nothing, but a mischievous Jane says that it can be their little secret. Paul insists that he loves Niamh and is a married man.

Later, Paul feels obliged to go over to Ridgeview to watch a movie with Jane and Callum. Paul knows he'll be going back to the lion's den and he readies himself for it. He reluctantly joins Callum on the sofa and Jane squeezes up to them. Paul is trapped as she cosies up to them but gradually starts to relax, which pleases Jane.

Meanwhile, Leo stages a protest against Dan by sitting on his stolen sofa in the Station Bar and refusing to budge. Carol offers Dan some advice on how to deal with Leo, explaining how he went from the man who had everything to the man who has nothing. Dan starts to look more sympathetically on Leo and tells him to take the stupid sofa and get out of the bar. He warns Leo never to come back into the Station Bar again after calling him a liar and a thief. Leo and Mondo leave the sofa out on the street while they find a way to transport it.

Passing by, Charlie is in pain and decides to sit down on the sofa for a moment. Charlie insists Esther sits with him and she initially refuses, but Charlie puts his coat down chivalrously. With Esther impressed with Charlie's spontaneous act, they share a kiss.

Elsewhere, Yvonne and Carol's rivalry finds a new focus

Jane drops by the Brennans' and she tries to call Paul's bluff. She warns that she is going to tell Niamh about their kiss unless she gets money for her silence. They are interrupted when Niamh swings by the house. Paul immediately tells Niamh that Jane is trying to blackmail him. Niamh hits the roof and orders Jane out of her house. Paul is about to come clean about Jane's unwanted attention, but he backs down at the last minute, not wanting to hurt Niamh's feelings. Instead he lies, saying that Jane threatened to take Callum with her if she is forced to move out of Dublin.

Later, Niamh's anger increases, especially when Jane and Callum try to scupper the plans to sell Ridgeview by putting off potential buyers. She takes her temper out on Rachel but later regrets it. Wanting to find a solution, Niamh announces to Jane, Paul and Callum that she has found the answers to all of their problems. Niamh tells them about Carol's friend, who is looking for live-in staff at Winners Hotel in Navan. However, Jane advises Niamh not to crack open the champagne just quite yet. Niamh starts to realise that it's going to take more persuasion to ensure they can rid themselves of Jane once and for all.

Meanwhile, Dan has to cancel his plans when Caoimhe goes home complaining of a headache. He is bogged down with inexperienced staff and Carol suggests she could help him out, which he greatly appreciates. Dan is impressed as Carol demonstrates her skills as a barmaid. Carol and Dan hit it off as she works the bar with ease and efficiency. Dan flirts with her, obviously impressed with what he sees, and he offers to take her out to dinner as a way of thanking her.

Elsewhere, Dolores makes an intriguing discovery.

Paul drives Jane to her job interview, wanting her to get the job, but he is delayed when his car breaks down. When Rachel returns home intoxicated after sneaking out to a house party, Niamh calls Paul but is shocked to hear Jane on the other end. On hearing Jane's voice she hangs up - shocked to realise that Paul has lied to her and is with Jane.

Later, Niamh innocently tries to get Paul to tell the truth but he continues to lie to her. As a result, Niamh is left fearing that Paul is having an affair with Jane.

Meanwhile, Yvonne's nose is put out of joint when she finds out that Dan and Carol are going on a date. Dan inadvertently insults Carol when he calls to hers to pick her up for dinner. He asks too many questions about her past, so she calls off the dinner as she thinks that he is vetting her. Later, Carol catches up with Dan at McCoy's and tells him about her criminal ex-husband. He admits that everyone has a past and they make up amicably. They decide to ditch the posh restaurant and instead head out for fish and chips, before sharing a kiss.

At the same time, Yvonne decides to pursue other romantic avenues and she calls Martin, the man who has been messaging her on the dating site. She agrees to meet him, adding that she will email the place for their date.

Niamh confronts Paul and Jane about what happened yesterday. Niamh is livid with Paul for lying as he tries to explain how he didn't want to say anything further to upset her as she had to deal with Rachel's drunkenness on her own. Paul is ashamed as Niamh reveals her true hurt when she wonders if she will ever feel fully secure in their relationship after his previous infidelities. She admits that she is always going to wonder if it will happen again. Paul is taken aback as he had no idea Niamh still felt so vulnerable.

Niamh and Paul eventually reach an understanding on their relationship. Niamh admits that she is carrying baggage from their past that she has to let go of if they are to move on. Niamh tells Paul not to lie to her again, and he agrees as they resolve to leave the mess behind them. Later, however, Jane continues to play with fire by flirting with Paul…

Meanwhile, Rachel is shocked when she sees that a photo of herself from the party, which sees her passed out on the floor beside the toilet bowl, has been posted online. Callum urges Rachel to tell her parents about the photo on the internet, but she is too mortified to say anything.

Elsewhere, Kerri-Ann urges Dolores to speak to Christy about the love letter, while Yvonne dips her toes in the dating game.
