was listening to matt cooper yesterday, he had on some doc/ prof on about a new book he'd written on diet, can't remember the name so i'll have to listen back to the podcast, he was talking about the western diet of high carbs, low fat diet, and how we should be eating a higher fat,pro and lower carb diet. what was interesting was he was saying why we don't need the high carb, low fat diet by the gda. out of interest i was looking up the gda today. and the cals are- 2000. carbs 230g. pro 45g. and fat 70g. i know that if i ate that many carbs and little protien i'd be like mr blobby. interesting what others think

Majority of people here will agree.

Read up on swedens governments new policy on healthy eating. They go for low carb, higher fat.

    (99% sure it's Sweden)

The rda are like the minimum you need to consume to not suffer negative effects for the "average" person. Theres not much use in taking heed of them.
