GP referral to Dermatology department - Mid Western cost?

I was referred to a dermatologist by my GP a few months ago "just to be sure" and i'm only after getting an appointment now for the mid western hospital, limerick. Just wondering how much does it cost if I go? Also how does it work? Do you pay there or do they send you out a bill or whats the story?

From what you said, this sounds like a referral to the public clinic in the hospital, If so, there will be no cost to you.

If the referral was to a private dermatologist, the fee per visit could be anything between €120 and €180 . You will
have to pay this on the day.
