Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    LOL, yeah :)

For the spoke, I did the descent then took the pic. Didn't wanna go over 40kph just in case. A nice descent ruined. I couldn't fix the wheel and didn't trust it to be fixed right so I ended up paying over the odds for a spare wheelset in some bike shop. Otherwise my cycling holiday was over. Turns out the mechanic was useless anyway cos he bodged swapping out the Shimano freehub with a Campag one and my wheel wouldn't freewheel properly. It meant the chain would go slack. That didn't help when descending Khutai the next day. Shame I hadn't noticed it on my test ride.

Then for the puncture, my bro was carrying the pump and he had descended much faster than me, so after I finally got through on the phone I had to wait there while he climbed back up the mountain. Thankfully I was closer to the bottom than the top.

Why is it that any bike designed by a luxury car manufacturer belongs in this thread?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,156 ✭✭✭Iwannahurl

It's to make the cars look good. ;)

This bicycle is made of cardboard, which is a "game-changer", reportedly.

Have two grotesquely buckled wheels? Why not fix them in this handy spot off the road here.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,317 ✭✭✭✭Raam

I actually really like this one! Pure aggressive looking machine.

It's the curvy bit around the rear wheel which skanks it for me. Just like this Cipo thing...

I love that Cipo. I'd move it to the images of beauty thread.

Passed another case of this today but I made a ham sandwich of the photo.

Argh that is an absolute abomination. Trying to make it look like a fixie by only putting one brake lever on, but he's put on the WRONG brake and it's not even a single speed. Shameful stuff.

It's like they didn't even try a little bit to make it pretty.
