The next gen Jazz after that, and the new one out next year are much nicer. Especially the new one.

The Skoda Roomster is my pick.

I don't think they will die. They're using Merc engines from the early 90's S-Class.:(

Sorry OP, but unfortunately you've contracted a wrong opinion.
Unless you've spelt Nissan Juke wrong and accidentally linked to a picture of a Honda Jazz in an unfortunate colour, then this is what you meant to display:

    279830.jpg

Everyone who knows anything about simple facts knows that the current holder of the title of "ugliest car in the world" is the Nissan Juke, a title previously held by the Ssanyong Rhodius above, which in turn displaced the Fiat Multipla MKI.

Anyone who has watched Breaking Bad will also recognise the deliberately ugly Pontiac Aztec:

The series I Fiat Multipla takes some batin'. It always reminds me of the three-eyed fish from The Simpsons:

    Pontiac Aztec anyone??

Multipla is still the worst looking IMO it's absolutely desperate. Who on earth thought that Tumorous top half would ever look good.

Correction perhaps, the diesel was a copy of the OM602 and petrol M104. Seems they do fail so all is good in the world. :D

Unfortunately I happened across a picture of the new Rhodius. It doesn't get any better... but at least they got rid of the "extension" on the back of the old one. :pac:

I was just talking chronological order in which they received their "awards" from the general motoring press, but yeah the first Multipla really does have a cancerous carbuncle that may never truly be beaten. At least its design derives from the best of intentions to optimise family cabin space, so the motives were benign even if the results were malignant.

The Nissan Juke however deliberately sets out to be offensively ugly, in the hope that this will confer some kind of "character" to it. It appeals to those kind of people who like to think of themselves as quirky and unique, and who are prepared to sacrifice practicality and any sense of style to achieve that, I suppose.

Pretty sure they used the OM602 in the Musso and Korrando years ago. The Rexton and Rodius' xdi were 2696cc and common rail but the Rexton had a cheaper 2.9 option at the start.

I'd love to have been in the meeting in TME around 1999

"The new ford focus is giving us a kicking, what have ye got for us?"
"You know the 92 Corolla that we gave bug eyes 2 years ago"
    "Erm...yeah?"
"Well we've added electric windows and made it even worse looking"
"Sounds legit - What about the Will V, can't we have that?"
    "Eh, no"
