Foam Rollers

Need to get a good foam roller fairly soon and I've heard so many good things about The Grid Foam Rollers, but they're so expensive (€59.99) in places like Elverys! Anyone know of any places around or online that I could get one a bit cheaper?

Just get some PVC pipe.

Try foam rollers by design. They're on Facebook and make literally indestructible ones for a good price. Buy a good one and you'll have it years. Biggest mistake I made buying my cheapo one. Looks like a toothpick now.

If you want to get a grid roller then go to Matchfit.com. Got mine there. Around €46 delivered in 2 days or that.

Otherwise you could get the foam rollers by design. I've used one and they're good.

I have the Rumble Roller that Mark sells in D8 Fitness I find it very good.

Cannot find foam roller by design anywhere on Facebook!! Any chance of the link?!

Have these rollers in my gym and really want to get one for home use too.

An excellent piece of kit. Better than a grid roller as well, imho.

Sorry to resurrect this - can't decide between a grid roller and foam rollers by design - boa or normal?? Have tried a grid roller in the gym and really like it, but FRBD seem to have a good rep and reviews on facebook. The boa looks interesting (i.e. painful

) but I guess there is no way of trying them out before buying. Any advice welcome.

Can't vouch for the boa but you can't go wrong with the standard. The grid roller was good and maybe it is because I've used FRBD more often but I thought the FRBD to be better. And way less expensive.

I take it they only do postal delivery and don't have a pick-up option if you want it faster?

No. They're way too soft and will fall apart quickly!

Use it every second day and it'll be useless. Had something similar.

They had one on the gym and it disintegrated quickly. The foamrollersbydesign will still be going strong long after the members of the gym.

And for only a few bucks more.

Tbh that looks even a lot softer than a typical "standard" roller.
Looks like a pool toy

I actually have that one at home. I think it's ok, but wayyy too big. I got a kitchen knife to it to cut in half and now have two perfectly sized foam rollers.

+1 on FRBD. My gym has a number of different foam rollers since it opened and the FRBD has held up the best. Takes a battering, solid as hell and no creaking noises.
