Cat man gets a beating?

Rumour has it the old nuisance who feeds the cat around the library was the subject of a bit of beating.

Anybody know what happened?

For a start it's not actually his cat..it's a stray he happens to feed.

For second he's in the way of the loading bay there and often tells deliverymen they need to use an alternative route to avoid upsetting the cat,he abused workmen on site who he blamed for the cat's dissapearance a while back and he has complained to the library staff about the cat having access to the plant room and has demanded it be closed off.

Lately he has taken to asking people for money for food for the cat.

Is this the fluffy dark brown and white cat that seems to live under the bush outside the Arts block? Or is it the other black and white cat nearer the Berkley? (I will admit to trying to befriend both of them )

Black and white one, also known more commonly as Trinity Cat.

Trinity Cat famously sent the entire undergraduate mailing list an email in 2011.

Both the cat and the man who feeds it are harmless. Maybe he gets something out of taking care of it - he's hardly a nuisance.
