don't really want a body builder type body but just a beach body and saw this fellow from x factors body on the telly and that's what I want to work towards.

what would you want to be doing in the gym to achieve this. I would be bordering skinny rather than working off fat

I would be too embarrassed to go with a pic to the gym to ask to give me a programme so I will ask ye instead

try going into a gym and say, you want to put on weight if your skinny but to bulk it up to muscle,

if your fat say you want to loose some weight but turn the rest to all muscle !!

its not going to happen over night tho

There's so many factors to even consider before anyone even tries answer your question.

What's your gym experience? Your diet? How many days a week are you training? Have you looked at ANY programmes before posting?

Just a few but id give answering those a lash and then reconsidering.

Lift weights, eat right. You won't suddenly wake up one morning and discover you are too muscular.

Have you lifted before, do you understand your diet?

In a nutshell, to look like that will take discipline in your training and your diet. I cant go into the nitty gritty of exactly what you should do, Id reckon if you do compound weights, body weight exercises, and plyometrics you'll be starting in the right direction. Don't be embarrassed to go to a gym and ask how to train, everyone has to learn! You don't have to bring a picture with you either, just go in with a description of what you want from your training, and between you and the instructor, figure out where to start.

If you tell us your current diet, youll soon be shown if there are glaring things you can adjust.
