How long is a piece of string……

    What results are you expecting?

    Fun? Instant
Cardio fitness? Depends on how many times you do it per week.
Weight loss? Depends on what your daily nutrition is.

I've been teaching Spin classes nearly every day for the last month and see the same people coming over and over.I haven't seen any of them dramatically change their shape. In my opinion this is because
    - they don't sort out their diet first and foremost
-they don't do any kind of weight training

While you might get a bit fitter just from spinning, It's the combination of a good diet (with a reasonable calorie deficit and sufficient protein) intense cardio and a progressive weights program that will make the difference. Spinning alone won't get you the results you want.

It is mainly about sorting out your diet: get the right protein intake and the right fibre intake and have the right hydration level!

    Nutrition 80 %

    Workout 20%

    Good luck on that

I have being spinning for last three years. I've two children under three & was even spinning upto last trimester in my second pregnancy it really works. I've never being in better shape. I'm 33 & work with girls in their 20's who have said to me what do I do to stay looking so good.. It's definitely spinning! Now I'm quite active I box as well but definitely my shape took effect with spinning. I notice the difference if I stop within weeks. Also a lot of research showing positive links with mental health & spinning/high intensity cardio training.. Well done for starting keep it up!

I did a good bit of spinning this year, found it good for "sweating" but I found I adapted to it pretty quickly. Maybe a good instructor can get you to keep upping the intensity. As said before weight loss is down to diet, I dont feel that spinning has that much metabolic effect (previous statement is 100% broscience).

I used to go spinning more often than I do now but the gym I went to had the digital display for RPM and the resistance so I found it better to make harder if you adapted. If he gave a range of 14-16 at 90RPM and you find it easy, up the resistance.

Found the spinning itself helped for football anyway.
