Anyone have an email account with yahoo that's been hacked recently. I have a couple and both have been hacked recently to send spam to people I have sent emails to in the past, thought most were undelivered. Their security doesn't seem to be the greatest.

I would say its more likely that your password is weak or has been comprimised

I think this seems to be happening fairly regularly with Yahoo mail from what ive seen. I thought my current password would have been ok.. though it was just a name with a 1 at the end.

Yahoo hasn't been hacked, if it were it would be all over the news. You have just allowed someone get your password somehow.

Pop your email in the link below, it will tell you if your account was exposed and is vulnerable from the Yahoo leak.

PS: A name plus a 1 at the end is so very easily bypassed I can't even explain. This site will though, pop in your password here to see how easily it's bypassed.

PPS: Mine takes 6 billion years since it's 15 characters. The difference between 9 and 10 characters (with at least 1 uppercase) can be years!

Yahoo had 450,000 accounts and 340,000 passwords leaked in July 2012.

Are they actually sent from your account? It's trivial to send email with any "from" address, doesn't mean they actually came from your account

This was reported back in March

I don't use the yahoo accounts for anything too important, but I must get into the habit of using better passwords!
