New ACER Laptop and No Windows 8.1 update in store

    Just got laptop a few hours ago trying to update to windows 8.1 but its not in the store!!! Cant seem to download it any other way!! Frustrated.com any help out there?

    have you run all of your windows updates?

    Press Windows+W, type Update. select Install Optional Updates. You may need to do this a couple times.

    Once your standard battery of updates is complete (you have verified the machine has no more available updates even after a reboot), the "app" should appear in the store.

    While Windows 8.1 was Released to Manufacture (RTM) back in August, but a complete phase-out of products with 8.0 preinstalled will not be fully complete until the spring.

    yep the minute I did a windows update it appeared.
