Your not giving us much to work with.

Read the stickies, record what you typically eat over the next few days, come back here and post it up.

Hi well the good news is that you can maintain a healthy weight through diet alone. I wouldn't recommend calorie counting because it just causes a deprivation / binge cycle. Instead just eat healthy food and lots of it. Also the fact that you are overweight suggests you have the common problem of being "addicted" to food, i.e. your eating sugars and refined carbohydrates which release dopamine in your brain and you become addicted to the "high".

Sugars and refined carbohydrates also raise your blood sugar levels which causes your body to release insulin to your brain. Insulin makes you feel full but when you eat sugars too much insulin is released which causes you to become insulin resistance, i.e. your always hungry.

So overall my advice would be to completely cut sugar and refined carbohydrates out of your diet. Also if your portion sizes are very big use calorie counting as a tool for understanding what a normal portion size looks like. Also I would recommend that you do exercise.

Also by healthy foods I mean veg fruit nuts meat fish dairy. Always full fat.

    Darkwolf,

Ireland is at the top of the most overweight populations in Europe.. One of the reason is low plant protein intake plus the low fibre intake.. Low Plant Protein intake brings loss of lean body mass. Fibre is in charge of cleansing our digestive health and get rid of all the crap.... Weight Management starts with Healthy Digestive Heath. You can eat lot of healthy food but if your digestive health is not healthy nutrients are not absorbed. Metabolism became slower.. You can lose weight but lose muscle mass so the body become less sexier and old..and you raise your metabolic age.. and low energy and no wellness..

It is important that you will be focused on a wellness weight management programme which will make you speed up your metabolism, increase your hydration level (99.9 Percent of People who are overweight are dehydrated), lose body fat percentage, gain muscle mass and lower visceral fat indicator. A high visceral fat indicator is linked to lot of diseases which could be avoided with a Healthy lifestyle..

Be mentally fit = be physically fit.. Our Health Our Wellness.

There is a big misconception in society which is all about doing exercise.. Nutrition is 80 Percent and Workout only 20 Percent

Hope to be useful with my post!
