So our football seasons just finished and it was basically a write-off for me between hamstring, tendon and popliteus injuries.
Fitness has dropped off and ive added a few pounds.

Im going to the gym 3/4 times a week but struggling to see any improvements in weight/ fitness.

Just been looking into the possibility of a personal trainer, someone to help me mix up my training routines and help me push onto the next level.
    Would anyone have any recommendations?
    Cheers folks. :)

    What's your diet like?

Not too bad but not brilliant either. It can be great for 3 weeks and then the last weekend out of the 4 will be a major blowoff.

I basically dont know much about nutrition and putting it hand in hand with training.

I'd allso use something like MyFitnessPal to input what you eat. If your accurate and honest, you might be surprised at how good/bad it is.

As for a weights programme, look into Starting Strength or Stronglifts. They're pretty good for beginners to weights programmes and you'll make some progress. Having a structure is pretty important. You might not be making the most of your time in the gym. Being there doesn't necessarily mean anything. But one of those programmes above should see some results and that in itself will keep you motivated.

He did, he won it in 2012 I think. He's excellent at what he does, couldn't recommend the guy highly enough.

THat's mad. I just checked. Says he came 13th in 2011 and no mention of him in 2012.
