Could be a decent game tonight in the cup, both teams will field a team with big chancges from the weekend for this game and it really is anyones game.

Probable Chelsea team to feature 10 changes from the City game on Sunday.

    Schwarzer
    Azp Cahill Luiz Bertrand
    Essien Mikel
    De Bruyne Mata Willian
    Ba

Couldnt take a stab at the Arsenal team TBH.

Given how strong the players we have coming in, Arsenal would have to field a fairly strong team to win this I feel.

That being said I can see this going to extra time and Chelsea winning out in the end.

    Arsenal 2 - 3 Chelsea (AET)

For Arsenal, I'm gonna guess with something like:

    Fabianksi
    Jenkinson Sagna Vermaelen Monreal
    Hayden Wilshere
    Gnabry Cazorla Ryo
    Bendtner

Thats a ridiculously strong 2nd team!! Chelsea must have the best second side in the PL.

From an Arsenal point of view we have to rest players which doesnt leave us with much quality through the team. Wont be too disappointed if we lose this tonight. 3 matches v Liverpool, Dortmund and United coming up in a row which are much more important to our season.

Ya its a good team and then there is a few on loan to come back for next year, hopefully.

We were blessed with beating Schalke in Germany as its taken a bit of pressure off in the UCL our next set of games is Newcastle (a) Schalke (h) WBA (h) West Ham (a) Basel (a) bringing us to the end of November so we can afford to rest a few for those upcoming games.

Chelsea have a ridiculous squad, then look at all the loan players scattered about the place and the best of their youth ranks.

Its a brilliant problem but we wont be able to hold onto all of them.

As long as we keep Courtois and Lukaku they'll be the main ones.

Cech made 2 important saves against City in the game but could have done better for the Aguero goal.

Holding on to Courtois is the bigger of the two headaches

He'll have two years left on his contract after this season so it really is a make or break situation, hes good enough to start but Cech the last 2 seasons has improved near enough to the levels he was before his skull fracture.

Theres also the possibilty that Courtois has no interest in returning to London and will stay in Madrid which would be a disaster as he'll be snapped up in a few years by a bigger club then Atletico eventually if that happens.

If we had all our injured players available we would be able to field a much more competitive team. Even the youngsters that would normally play are injured.

Hopefully whoever plays can put on a good show and we get a good match

GOing to this tonight. Some difference in ticket prices between this and the league match. Tells you all what the fans think of this.

Chelsea will have far too much for us tonight as there reserve team has much much more about them than ours, only way I can see us going through is via a penalty shootout. :(

Would love to go far in this as I think its Arsenal best chance of winning a trophy this season.

Chelsea's 2nd team is very very strong indeed.

I'm hoping home advantage is enough for Arsenal to win but I doubt it.

2-1 to the best 2nd team in the Prem.

Hoping for the best but expecting the worst

Chelsea have a ridiculous second team and I can't see wenger playing any first teamers.

Looking forward to this game, do think Chelsea will be to strong for us. But always nice to see some the youths reserves get a run out to have a look at them.

Still hoping Gnabry will be given the all clear and raging Zelalem couldn't make it back in time to feature.

This is such a tough game to call, I think Chelsea will score goals tonight, our front 4 is going to be very good no matter who plays there! And they are likely to be facing a weakened Arsenal back 4.. so logically that = lots of scoring chances for Chelsea.

Really really want to see Kevin De Bruyne playing tonight too!

Arsenal's defence will probably be the strong point in the team. Fabianski, Jenkinson, Vermaelen and Monreal will all start, wouldn't be surprised to see Kosc or Mert beside Vermaelen either.

The midfield in front of it will probably has a massive influence on how the defence looks.

Who will we have in midfield?

Frimpong, Rosicky, Eisfeld and Gnabry with Bendtner up front?

    Frimpong and Eisfield both injured.

Think Jack is set to start with Hayden and Rosicky. Probably Gnabry and Ryo on the flanks

We seem to have more injured than fit. What is wrong at Arsenal?

Interesting article on the teams Wenger has sent out for Carling Cup duty over the years. Many familiar names began their careers there.

Have to give Arsenal credit for their League Cup pricing; £10 for the ends and £20 for the stands all the way through (including the home semi final if you get that far).

Actual lol at Mourinho complaining about the turnaround time to this match from Sunday, as if his squad was stretched to the limit.

Chelsea will win this and are great value @ ~11/8 imo.

I'm a lot more confident after seeing that team, but I would of liked to see Ramsey rested with young Hayden playing in the holding midfield role instead.

Arsenal: Fabianski, Jenkinson, Vermaelen, Koscielny, Monreal, Ramsey, Wilshere, Rosicky, Cazorla, Ryo, Bendtner.

Lot stronger midfield that what I was expecting.

Madness putting first team players out with the challenges we have immediately ahead. Could backfire badly if we get more injuries. Don't know what Wenger is thinking.

My only shock is seeing Ramsey play - Wilshere probably won't start against Liverpool and Cazorla needs match time.

The forgotten Korean to come off the bench on 90mins and score the winner :D

Ramsey and jack in the middle, I can see massive gaps between defence and midfield.

Hoping Mikel and Essien just sit and shield TBH neither have the ability to influence from deep like Ramires or Lamps.

Yeah, Ramsey is an odd one, Kos too.

Reckon that Gnabry will be fit and go into starting team vrs Liverpool then.

He was 50/50 on Gnabry so surprised he didn't make the squad, must have failed a fitness test, expect to see him Saturday though as you said, played really well when he came on at the weekend.

Would have rosicky ahead of him Saturday though.

Yup. Gave us an air of unpredictability. Don't think Liverpool has the best defence but if we play it over and back in front of them, they'll probably handle it. We need someone like Gnabry to run at them or get in behind.

Anyway, getting ahead of ourselves. Booooooo Chelsea BOOOOOO.

Would have rosicky ahead of him Saturday though.

On the weekend he won a penalty, borderline for another and hit the post.

Apart from Giroud's late goal that was by far the biggest contribution from an attacker.

I think Rosicky is better but if Ozil, Rambo and Cazorla are already on the pitch, Gnabry's the one to go with.

Surprised with some of the arsenal team. Didn't think Ramsey or Kos would start. Will make more of a game of it. This cup
Usually throws up some good games so here's hoping for one tonight (and an Arsenal win :) )
