Considering moving Yaya on this week, his good form seems to have passed, might get Hazard in instead.

My move will be Sturridge to Aguero. Sturridge going up tonight.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,872 ✭✭✭✭dahat

    It's all about Aguero baby!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,676 ✭✭✭thunderdog

Im looking at Sturridge and Yaya out for Aguero and Hazard. No points for originality here ;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,881 ✭✭✭bohsman

Same as, managed to avoid transfer last week so Aguero and Hazard on the shopping list.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

Ben Arfa and Rooney out for Brady and Aguero.

Week 11 will be Sturridge for Suarez.

It's taken far longer than I hoped, but by week 12 or 13 I should be finally happy with my side.

have 2 transfers so vidic and moses out for Johnson and brady.

would prefer to wait until after hull play but vidic dropping tonight and I can't get Johnson until I get rid of moses.

will obviously wait until later on to do this.

vidic to clyne will do that tonight vidic dropping and clyne may rise. Sturridge to aguero later in the week.

Sturridge for Aguero worth a hit? Got suarez.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,379 ✭✭✭Skuxx

I'm thinking Yaya out and Hazard in...I also have Mirallas in midfield who I wouldn't mind getting rid of, maybe to get someone like Sigurdsson in? Would it be worth it? Not sure which to go with?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,305 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Prodston

I guess with Hazard going up last night unexpectedly it gives me time to think, I feared I was getting caught up in the surge and the same applies to Aguero. Rooney even with fixtures may not be wise to drop just now as he's picking up points and more likely to feature than Sergio.

A good Saturday afternoon return affords me time to think more objectively

Is getting Januzi Or however you spell it a good idea?

It's not a bad idea but with United's upcoming fixtures and the fact he's not guaranteed to start would suggest that there's no rush especially as he's risen so much already.

I brought him in 2 weeks ago though and as an owner I'm unsure what to do with him despite playing him both weeks getting me 3 points. If I keep Rooney I may offload him again at some point.

Am I mad considering Sturridge to Benteke? Have had SAS for three weeks.

Ericson out if he does not perform this week. Hazard or Oscar in.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,185 ✭✭✭G1032

Tonight it'll be Hangeland out (finally) and Clyne in.

Possibly then during the week it'll be Michu and Sturridge out for a 7 million Ramsey and Aguero at an 8 point hit.
Can't continue with both Sturridge and Suarez and the only way I'll be able to afford Aguero is by selling Michu.

Have 2 free transfers. Vidic > Clyne done just now. Sick of no Soton defensive cover and also frees up funds

Want Augero, but hard to drop any of Suarez, Giroud or Rooney

Giroud easily if you have Ramsey or Özil

With both Vidic and Hangeland it looks I'm in the market for 2 new defenders tonight. Anyone got any recommendations?

I'm already the proud owner of Turner, Coleman and Clyne. I don't want another Saint nor will I go for Spurs coverage right now for I'm looking at Chelsea and Swansea. So I'll be considering Chico and Terry unless anyone offers inspiration? :) Not ideal with them not playing until tomorrow but .2 on the line so needs must.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,185 ✭✭✭G1032

Thinking of a possible 8 point hit this week

Which would be the best move?

    Brady/Sturridge out for Morrison/Rooney

    or

    Michu/Sturridge out for Ramsey/Aguero

    or

    Michu/Sturridge out for Ramsey/Rooney

Is Lallana worth a punt instead of Ramsey?

I did Vidic to Terry last week. Got rid of Hangeland a minute ago for Clyne, but you already have him. Why not Dawson?

As well as Spurs have been at the back and I regret not jumping on I don't particularly see too many clean sheets in their next 4 Everton (a), Newcastle (h) , City (a) and United (h). Stoke have good fixtures too. I think I'll back Chico anyway.

I could also bring in a Hull defender and add even more cash to my kitty which is already at 3.7 :pac: If the premium mids start firing then cheaper defenders could be the way to go again

It will be a hit. I dont want vidic long term and I want clyne long term. Im not going to rush the aguero transfer will try to wait till Friday. Will be making aguero capt next week. You still doing sturridge to aguero its a hard transfer to make as sturridge has been so consistent.

Yep I am. I'm too reliant on Liverpool and Arsenal. Need to start balancing out the team a bit. 12 of my 15 come from 5 clubs! Six from Liverpool and Arsenal.

Vidic has a good fixture next week away to Fulham, i'll keep him until then and dump him before their tough few weeks, Mertesacker will go first.

Moses out for Hazard. Whittaker is getting the boot as well, probably for a Swansea defender

I am going to replace Vidic too before he drops tonight, he has been some let down since i got him in during my wildcard. I already have Terry.

Glen Johnson/Cissoko were on the shortlist but i already have Mignolet in goal for the time being so i dont want to double up on Liverpool.

I have also knocked Dawson/Chiriches off the shortlist as Spurs have a few tough games coming up with both players starting position not certain at the moment.

What do you think of Swansea's Neil Taylor at 4.4m? Should play the next 3 games with Davies injued. I know he could loose his place again but at that price he is worth the gamble for the few weeks. He is well able to attack and if he scored well his price would shoot up since he is so cheap.

Also looking at West Hams Winston Reid. West Ham have Villa, Nowich, Fulham and Palace in the next 5 gameweeks. Fist team regular, good for a few goals over the season and West Ham well able to keep clean sheets.

Swansea play West Ham tomorrow so its a pity Vidic will drop tonight and Reid will rise before we get to see the game.

If money was tight then I'd look at Taylor but I think I'll want in on Swansea for more than 3 weeks so I don't want to waste a transfer switching again. Davies was my original choice 2 weeks ago alright. If I were to wait another week then Williams might be back and at 4.8 is nicely priced and guaranteed to start.

I didn't think of West ham actually. I'd probably prefer Stoke to them but Reid wouldn't be a bad option at all. I'm going to seriously consider Hull although McGregor out will probably stop me doing it.

Next weeks fixtures don't seem very tasty at all bar City but I'm wary over City defensive coverage, it's probably a fools errand to go near them with Kompany out

    Boruc, Mignolet

    Chester, Terry, Whittaker, Coleman, Chico

    Toure, Eriksen, Ozil, Barkley, Januzaj

    Sturridge, Lukaku & Giroud

    £3.9m in the bank

Whittaker is the one I want to get rid of this week. Clyne being the one I'll most likely bring in tonight.

Willing to take a 4 point hit to use up the remaining 3.5m in the bank, any ideas? Eriksen has a bullseye on his back but all ideas are welcome.

    Yaya and Zab out,
    Shaw and Gerrard in.

Gives me 2m in the kitty.

Cant afford Suarez so going to capitalize on the Pools form with Gerrard.

My team is pretty similar to yours.

    £2.2m in the bank.
    Have Zab, Dawson and Collins for Chester, Whittaker and Chico ;
Ramsey and Brady for Eriksen and Januzaj.

To answer your question I'd suggest Chelsea midfielders (Oscar or Hazard) and Michu which has great fixtures comming up. And I'll add a personal concern which has a double southern american accent : Aguero - Suarez. And a question.

Ideally I'd do to my team Sturridge -> Suarez
    ................................... Giroud -> Aguero
    ................................... Zabaleta -> Clyne
    for an 8 pts hit.

But I'm 0.1 short (I regret not having done the Zab -> Clyne one this week).

So here's the question: is Giroud -> Aguero the most sensible and reasonable transfer to do ? Since I have Arsenal cover and selling Sturridge would leave me without Liverpool attacking cover?

Mignolet will also have to go at some point but I don't know who I can pair with Boruc...

Eriksen out and either Silva, Oscar or Hazard in.

Giroud & Sturridge are scoring steadily. For -8 points & an extra 3m, I'm not so sure that Aguero & Suarez are going to do that much better tbh.

Then again, I am waiting on the wheels to come off the Ramsey Badnwagon!

still have 1 free transfer, will def be dropping moses, but unsure of wheter to bring in brady or oscar, want to watch both tomorrow.

johnson is away to arsenal next week so don't mind waiting until the week after to bring him in, or may take a hit to ditch wilson. he has been a disaster since i got him. a nice fixture next week but i can't even start him as he'll prob come on as a sub again.

I'm a big fan of Chester due to his low low price and hulls very decent defence, and he rotates very well with Clyne. He was due back next week, but these quotes from Bruce this week suggest that may not happen till week after. I'm holding him since before he was injured, but have been able to as I'm playing 3 at the back.

Koren will join in with training ahead of Sunday's match but will not be ready to play. "Sunday will be a bit too early for him," said Bruce. "James Chester is back out on the grass but he is only about five weeks into his recovery, so it’s still early for him.

Kompany would be my top pick for a high value defender. He is back next week and these are City's fixtures for the next 6 after Chelsea, and they're not too bad after that too. His ownership is relatively low due to his injuries, so price will rise rapidly if he settles back in and city's defence performs. He's the only certain starter in that defence too. Will probably be getting him in for Merts this week before arsenals thought fixtures, but his CS and bonuses today giving me food for though on that.

    02 Nov 15:00 Gameweek 10 Norwich (H)
    10 Nov 14:05 Gameweek 11 Sunderland (A)
    24 Nov 13:30 Gameweek 12 Tottenham (H)
    01 Dec 16:10 Gameweek 13 Swansea (H)
    04 Dec 20:00 Gameweek 14 West Brom (A)
    07 Dec 15:00 Gameweek 15 Southampton (A)

Edit: Terry a good shout too, but I already have him.

I'm looking at Nastasic and Pieters of Stoke now, Nas only has 1.2% ownership. Obviously Kompany would be preferable but considering his injury problems I can't afford another Vidic. Over-looking Terry would be fool-hardy though

Kompany was report in the Manchester Evening News during the week as being back this weekend and then City tweeted that he wouldn't be for for Chelsea. So I'm assuming he'll be back for Norwich.

Was convinced to pull trigger on Rooney or giroud to aguero.....but with roo, suarez, giroud essential to their teams and almost undroppable also hard to justify dropping any of them-

Might just looking at trying beef midfield with hazard or silva or both

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,255 ✭✭✭✭Lemlin

Just looking at future fixtures. Arsenal play Liverpool, United and Saints.

Liverpool play Arsenal, Fulham and Everton.

Sturridge has marginally easier fixtures than Giroud I'm thinking.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,709 ✭✭✭✭Cantona's Collars

Liverpool still not watertight at the back,West Brom missed some easy chances against them,I'll keep my frontline of Giroud,Suarez & Rooney for now.

Nani to Hazard is my standout transfer.Think I'll pull the trigger on this one but might wait until after tomorrows game in case I jinx him.

Yeah it would cost me £3.9m. Now are they worth it ?

Sturridge vs Suarez. Since he came back Suarez scored 46 points in 4 games while Sturridge scored 36. It's only 4 games but Suarez seems to be in the same form than last year and Sturridge has never done such a season... Also in their 3-5-2 it seems that Suarez and Sturridge are both upfront while last year when they played together I kinda remember Suarez was playing slightly deeper, behind Sturridge.

Giroud vs Aguero. Well if I look up to their H2H game (GW 16 the last before the hectic Christmas period) Giroud has a slightly tougher run of fixtures (Liv (H), MU (A), Sou (H), Car (A), Hul (H), Eve (H), MCI (A) vs Nor (H), Sun (A), Tot (H), Swa (H), WBA (A), Sou (A), Ars (H)) and Arsenal will aslo have to battle a lot harder to get out of their Champions League Group than Man City. Also I have Arsenal cover with Ozil and Ramsey.

Ah well, I may swallow the 0.3 rise for Suarez this week and try to prepare it for the next. I have Zab and Mignolet to get rid of while saving cash. If Zab could stay at 6.2 the whole week that'll be great since home to Norwich their next game with Kompany back will be aq good chance of a CS.

So I'm looking at Giroud -> Aguero and Mignolet -> ?
