I have my own style of american swing which I now formally declare the Irish swing, which eliminates the risk of impingement and makes the reps faster. Really need to make a video on this but the jist is when the bell is face height do a face pull which shortens the radius of the swing accelerating the bell and then it needs a small press out at the end.

Sounds a lot like a sport snatch or a hybrid high pull/press!

Never heard of such a thing. Legend goes this style was handed down father to son by the ancient celtics warriors. Mind you the kettlebell wasn't invented so they used the humble hessian potato sack and adjusted the weight by eating the potatoes. They didn't fear the carbs back then.

On a serious note its not really like a high pull/press as its literally the exact same as a normal swing, arms long til its neck height then the magic happens.
