    AIL final is this weekend
Belvedere v Blackrock in Donnybrook Saturday 5pm.
Belvedere topped table by 10 points and beat Blackrock 39-0 in group stage so will be favourites to win
The division 2 final is also in Donnybrook on Saturday and sees Co Carlow take on Cooke on the back pitch at 1pm. Cooke finished 2nd in the Division 2 North while Carlow won Division 2 North. Cooke beat Shannon who won Division 2 South in the only semi final last weekend 64-7

Fantastic to see both referees for the games are two of the best female referees in the country in Helen O Reilly and Joy Neville

Lots of new names there. Don't really know what to expect with the squad turnover since the WC.

They beat Wales 31-12 last weekend. England real test though.

It should be interesting alright. Interesting that there have been a few positional changes too!

If only it was on the telebox - will settle for the streaming instead.

Just wondering what are the facilities in Ashbourne like? E.g. enough parking, is it all just pitchside standing - would a 6 year old (not me :)) be able to see. Cheers all

  • Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 9,994 Mod ✭✭✭✭sullivlo

Plenty of parking - they open up the back pitches. Can be a bit mucky.

Burger stand. Bar sells coffee and tea too.

There's 2 stands - one with seats. 6 YO could probably see from the stands or if someone lets you stand in front of them pitchside.

Disappointing last night. I just watched the second half, and Ireland had so many chances to get over the try line, but just didn't convert. And the intercept try by France was a killer.

Great win for the women in Ashbourne tonight!

    Ireland leading 13-0 against Wales.
A win will put Ireland joint top with France
France travel to Twickenham next week and Ireland have the advantage of playing on Sunday so a win today will mean Ireland will know exactly what they have to do to win the championship

Women's Six Nations result: Wales 0- 20 Ireland. Ireland now firmly in contention for the title. #rterugby

Brilliant result to cheer us up after yesterday.

Ireland have points difference of +43, France +63.
England beating France is probably best for us as any win over Scotland would then do and Scotland are bottom and winless while everyone else has at least two wins so you would expect us to win comfortably

AIL Cup, Shield and Plate are now at final stages and details of finalists etc can be seen below..

France have lost twice now. Them beating England takes England out of it. I can't see how England winning suits us at all

England have lost twice, France have lost once.
England winning brings them to 6 points and an England win against France means virtually any win for us would give us the title.

Big ask for the ladies, but here's hoping.

Looks like Ireland will need a big win tomorrow to do the double. France 21-8 up on England at Twickenham but Scotland are poor enough in the women's game so may be doable if Ireland get a fast start.

FT 21-15 France. A 27 point win needed tomorrow
