mine was pretty shiity. I used 36 firelighters, the last of the olive oil in the cupboard, three heaped spoons of sugar, a squirt of lighter fluid and I still couldn't get the fire going. It smoked like a bítch though, only from the wrong end and all the toxins and fumes billowed out and seeped back into the room because my chimney doesn't like functioning in the manner for which is was built. I don't know if I'm just very tired or about to die from carbon monoxide poisoning.
I'm only lighting the fire because after filling up with fuel last week I discovered my oil boiler seized up and after shedding every penny into the oil tank there's nothing left over to call someone in to service it.
I'm not really cold but it's miserable and thought the fire would cheer me up.

Then my daughter came home from school and went straight to her room and slammed the door because she's not liking her classes very much and as there's no one else to get angry with or blame I have to take the punches. I also forgot to buy her cereal so now she's hungry and angry and it's all my fault.

Also, I called it a day on a 15 year long friendship earlier. It was with a male friend who I placed firmly in the zone many years ago but he still decided that I was going to be the person he grew old with whether I wanted to or not. I'm fairly old now so I suppose he got what he wanted but I don't want to grow any older with him and I had to hurt his feelings explaining this to him. (again)

It rained like a hoer earlier and everything is wet.
I'd feel better about all these things if the fire was lighting.

My day was great. My bosses boss told me to take it easy over the next 2 weeks, so when the rest of the lads are getting beasted with running, swimming and crossfit I'm to use a few cardio machines and have some steady runs listening to music in case I get injured before an upcoming course.

Then my line manager (boss) told us we're getting friday as well as monday off.

Then I got 2 new bags in work, cause they were gonna be thrown out anyway.

    BEST DAY SOZ PHARMATON

Was constipated for a week, finally the wait was over. A turd the size of king kongs finger came out. It was breathtaking.

Are you one of the many who took a week off work to play GTA?

    Fairly sh1tty.

Had to be up pre-4am, my van broke down, got fired into into huge hole of ****e and then stood on by a little rat of a pony, that was belonged to a little girl so I couldn't even kick it up and down the yard afterwards. Oh and I was paid by cheque by every single client I met today, so no money my pocket coming home.

Nope. Was away last week on holiday but took this week too with the intention of hanging around dublin, go to the movies etc.. But had my birthday on sunday and one of the pressies was GTA 5.
Add in the terrible weather and you get a perfect storm for me!

It was ok. Píssed rain all day so that was average enough. Got some college work done. Went frying chicken in the pan. When I picked the pan up it looked clean, then bits of black stuff stuck to the chicken when I started frying , sickening. Ate it all the same and it tasted grand, love Smokey BBQ fahitas. Heading out tonight so we'll see how that goes. It's only a three day week this week so I'm home tomorrow night. Listened to this song and it made me smile... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IunMZ2x9908

Work was intensely irritating. Home now with Mr. Merkin, have a chicken chasseur in the oven, had a nice warm bath and have just poured myself a vodka and tonic, nice! Lashing with rain outside too so feeling very toasty and snug. :)

My day was great. Went to town and took a long walk. Home, made a brew of coffee, read my latest book, and swept leaves. Set and lit the fire - OP sounds like you need the chimney cleaned.

Sounds like you need some coal or turf to go with the rest of your ingredients and then you might get some fire ;)

    On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd say about a - 4.

I miss my Canadian life and I'm stuck in rainy Galway with my folks until I find a new job.

On the upside, I had Malteasers for breakfast.

Fairly decent day. Was long though. Went through some interesting points on self advocacy in college, then had a game of Trivial Pursuit in the last hour to lighten things up. Came home and found that the new shower is due to come in on Monday, my new jacket will be arriving tomorrow, the electrician had been to put up GORGEOUS new spotlights in the kitchen and bathroom and that thanks to my stepdad being a ninja when it comes to assembling IKEA furnishings, I now have my own dedicated place to bake in our formerly cramped kitchen. :D
Just ate a lovely pie for dinner and am now about to settle down and watch The Osbournes online.

Also intensely irritating here, not helped by the fact I've a 180 mile round trip every day this week due to it, and it's pissing rain and my road rage is reaching previously unheard of levels.

however I did get home to find a check refunding me for an overcharge I wasn't even aware of :)

Had a ****e day. Came off the bike yesterday, hurt a bit at the time but carried on, went for a quick swim.

Couldn't move this morning. I dislocated my shoulder (sublaxion, not the whole way) which I popped back in on the road, but couldn't move it at all, hurt like a buggar, knee neither. Road rash all down right side. Strapped into a sling for 10 days min now, one armed everything and can't cycle or swim :(:(:(:(

I am the most frustrated woman in Ireland now for the next 10 days. Bad Day!

Not bad, got the house tidied and a few jobs that needed doing done. Also organised a car ride to school for the son on rainy days, that was a relief, 25min walk in the píssing rain was unreal. Also got a brand new scrabble board game in a charity shop for 4e, everyone was a winner! And got needed stuff for my daugter worth 50e for 13! It was a good day.

I slept it out because my very pricey wake-up light alarm decided it wasn't going to light up today, and I felt groggy until after noon. There was something generally bleak about today.

I'm doing good now because I'm wearing sweats and eating dinner and everythings done, and I've downloaded a new book to read in bed.

Poor Pharmaton! Make sure your chimney is swept, maybe it's not drawing because it's clogged? Sorry about the friendship and about your daughters sulks. One day in the future she'll tell someone you're her best friend, and you'll both forget all the slammed doors. :)

After getting up for breakfast and feeling even worse than the last few days I decided to take a sick day from work; So, despite the breathing difficulties I've had an alright day, had to cancel my weekly cinema visit with my friend - and I so wanted to see Arnie on screen again, but I've enjoyed relaxing and playing guitar, which I recently started again, and a package I ordered at the start of July arrived yesterday morning - with a damned customs charge , so I got to tear that open and relax the fear of it never arriving, pity the contents weren't as ordered . Oh, and I jumped back into the online dating lark again, so that's been fun.

Tough luck OP, on the bright side you worked out how to make smoke and weird olive oil and firelighter flavoured caramel. Plus your daughter checked the doorhinges for you, still functioning.

I had today off so I was supposed to spend a few hours doing research, a few more hours studying and maybe polishing off an essay.

Instead, I got up around midday and caught up on about 6 hours of TV shows. The last few hours I've had an A4 pad beside me but have been chatting ****e to people on Facebook.

Absolute waste of a day off.

Pretty middling. Got through most of my work for the day. I have to look through an article and do a bit of a write up, it's a short job but I'm procrastinating all evening. Ordered from a new take-out place.
They took too long and what I got... well Kebab Chips sounded interesting. Like it would be a proper kebab on a bed of chips instead of pita bread. Nope. It was like the most disgusting inbred cousin of a taco fries you've even seen.
Nary any meat and what there was you wouldn't give to a dog. The sauce they'd thrown on was revulsion defined. This pungent tang off it, GOD DAMN IT MOTHER****ERS. I was really hungry by the time it got here and I actually ate some of it. Never again. Every time I try something new I'm reminded why I don't. I know what I like and I like what I know.

But then I get a call that my old man had been rushed into hospital and was in a bad way...hopefully he'll be OK.

    My day was horrible.

Started off feeling a bit unwell.
Then went to an appointment with the nurse and left feeling completely violated.
Then the rest of the day was a pile of ghey.

I bought a new candle and an electric blanket to cheer myself up, but, I just feel like I'm a complete burden to everyone I've ever known, and my housemates husky is in pain and howling outside my window making me feel more guilty.

Just write the day off and be done with it ta fug.
