It's absolutely killing me waiting for it to show up on the App Store! It's a first I've seen it available on the apple.com/ie page and not in the store! (Goddamn) :(

If you installed the GM build I presume you don't need to upgrade again ?

It's not clear yet. They released a second GM, possibly requiring a complete re-install.

'To set up the installation', etc has now popped up.

Just running a Time Machine back up then I'll see how Mavericks goes.

I really hope this won't affect the software I work with as I want to upgrade. Tabs in the finder has me all excited! :D

Just got an email from Appleseed, you must go to the Mavericks page in the app store and click the free update button. You'll be told you have 10.9 installed. Click continue to download the full installer and use this to install the final build.
There will not be an update through software update for this build

Let it install whilst I watched Homeland. Safari and Firefox seem a little snappier. Will explore some more in the next few days.

Woohoo. Free upgrade from Snow Leopard. Very nearly purchased Mountain Lion a couple of weeks ago but so glad I held on now.

    Just started downloading now.

Anyone know where I can find percentage complete in Snow Leopard. No info in the purchases section.

Currently on 3.8GB for me, downloading since the minute it became available. But i've accidentally closed the MAS once or twice so that could be the cause of a loss of time as I think it paused the download.

Couldn't see it either, I had to keep track of it via amount dwindling on my hard-drive :pac:

All installed now, seems to be working fine on my 2009 MacBook. Got panicked when it first booted up and Airport wasn't working, but a restarted sorted it out.

My install finished 30+ minutes ago and the laptop restarted to the Apple logo with the spinning loading symbol. It already restarted once to the OS X install screen which took around 45 minutes for the full install to complete.

Problem is after the second restart it's still on the Applw logo with loading circle. Don't know if it's normal or to force shutdown? Anybody installed it yet?

Do I have to backup everything on my Mac first before I install it? I've got loads of files on the desktop and can't lose them. Will everything stay the same?
