Not received DAS payment yet.

Hi everyone, this was my first year applying for DAS payment and I have not received it yet. I put the application in on time and all I received from the Department was acknowledgement they received documentation. I think maybe my application was incorrect regarding the maps, but the Department never sent me confirmation that the maps were wrong. Do the department tell you if your application is incorrect?

call them on 1890200114, you also have to have the stock in your herd for a full 7 months before they will pay out

I had an overclaim last year and payment was held up.
I had to ring them to find out why I wasn't getting paid

Sept 23rd is first day of ploughing so did anyone hear anything yet about the DAS being paid?

I've plenty stocking units and 365 days of year so should be grand , Agfood.ie says "no application errors" so should I be okay for payment ? Golden question I suppose

Just been onto the DAS section at the department, was told payments are running next Wednesday and should be in bank by Friday. I'm in Donegal. She crossed referenced Single Payment and aid to check that my payment was definately on the batch.

Happy days....well pay a bill at least.

Might treat myself to sausage and chip out at lunch!!

They'll automatically deduct it from next cheque. I'd a similar deduction from REPS last year and that's what they did.

Overclaimed by €13 or 13ac or 13ha? I thought it was €13 you were talking about....

My advice, unless the rest of the farm is genuinely spotless in regards to cross compliance issues then absolutely do not appeal a decision of €13.52.

Dept will tell you they will send out an inspector for a visual appeal of the feature in dispute only. This hasn't been the case in many instances and some farmers have received nasty shocks. One case the inspector was on the farm for four days.

My advice is worth exactly what you paid for it, nothing. I say that so people don't rely on what someone says on an internet forum. Double check, always, with a professional in whatever field. (Not that they're always right either :pac: ).

But the above is an instance of what may happen, not saying it will happen in all cases, it's just something to keep in mind.

I got a letter that I overclaimed by €12.48. I threw a cheque in the post as I was afraid it would slow down any payment by 'they who must be obeyed'!

How petty can they get? You must have erected a new gate pier or grown a new briar somewhere! The transaction will have cost them much more and your cheque should surely frustrate them given that
e-Day, set for the 19th of September 2014, is the date from which Government Departments, Local Authorities and State Agencies will no longer use cheques in their dealings with businesses

isnt it very late to be getting these letters, most people would be expecting payments next week

This is how they operate. especially with SFP . Wait till its due and then look more info, maps or whatever. This ensures that possibly millions of euro are held over for up to six months in their bank accounts.

Given these examples, they should be taken on on this. They shouldn't be allowed intimidate people with the threat of a full inspection to the extent that they are afraid to appeal what are often erroneous decisions (shadows on maps, out of date mapping - remember the 2012 maps that were used last year to cut people's 2013 claims).

This deserves support from the main farming organizations with, for example, the withdrawal of support for combined inspection, ie make them come out three times with 0, 48hr and 14 day notice for the relevant inspection areas.

Always said that 15oct is a concession, early Dec is the payment date and there's usually less than 5% later than that and a lot of those is the fault of the farmer.
Foolish to have any commitment due the 15oct, that are depending on SFP

my point is the forms have been submitted since may-or earlier- i have no commitments to meet on 15th october-apart from tax- and btw i dont think i am foolish

I totally agree, in the sane way that most of us would prefer to stay at home and rant rather than go to a protest.

I suggest it merely as a stick to wave by the farming organizations at whatever contact point they have with the dept. and of course make the sacrifice to use if required

In that case, it should at least double inspection costs, or reduce their number by half

But would that matter to the dept? All it may mean, is a farmer has the dept out 3 days instead of 1... Maybe the dept lads are happy out to be back 3 days in a row?

My point is that making it ore awkward for us farmers, may not mean the same thing to the dept, so would it have the desireed effect?

''the young and naive believe they can change the world, the wise accept it is easier to adapt to the world as it is''

You're one of the most vocal here about late payment of a concession payment, better to just not depend on it and work around it

my point is the sfp/das scheme are applied for 4-5 months ago and people are only being made aware of overclaims now, with a computerised system why do we have to wait so long to be told. Also wasnt ifa pushing for 100% payment of sfp in October

I'm sure they'd love it, three times the mileage (at over a euro a mile), subsistence, and far less time in the office doing boring old paperwork. I,m not sure that the department heads would appreciate it though.

On an aside, it's very disappointing to see this thread heading into the usual personal abuse stuff on something that we should all be pretty much in agreement over

It's listed at the top of payments received in last 12 months with a payment date of 23 Sep 2014 (tomorrow). Presumably that's the date it leaves their account so I should see it within a day or two of that.

    You lucky, lucky, thing. :D

    I was cut 83 euro.

It's worth remembering than if you have nominated a credit Union A/C for the lodgement, the money must first go into an Allied Irish Bank A/C belonging to the credit Union, and them be transferred. So can take an extra day.
