Might just need a new button if its stuff, or possibly just a loose connection on the button if it works sometimes but pushes down everytime.

Player 2 Joystick might be set to 8 way maybe? I know when i had my joysticks set to 8 way when playing pacman and the older 4 way games it was a pain because it would sometimes go down if you didnt hit left or right really dead on.

Could also be broken though in fairness haha.. what college in Ballyfermot? Done my IT course in the one beside the libary about 16 years ago!
