First of all il start by saying im not looking for the perfect body or to be built like a brick house but I do enjoy the routine of doing some training every week and keeping myself some way healthy.

Im 27 6ft and weigh just less than 80kg, down 3 or 4 since I started some training in the summer, smoker, diet reasonably well but ten years of abusing eating and drinking what I want has left its mark, I'm not unhappy how I look but if I'm going to go the gym 2 or 3 times a week I might aswel do it right.

I generally do the following routine, please excuse my terminalogy as I'm not to up to speed with the lingo!

    Pull ups 2x10
20kg bar 20 reps warm up
    40 kg bench press 20,15,15
    Barbell curl 30kg 10,10,10
    Overhead barbell 10,10,10
2x14kg dumbbells, 25 reps (laid flat on work bench)
20 12kg dumbbells in sitting position on work bench
    45kg squat 10,10,10

And usually finish off with 10 mins on treadmill between 10-15km/hr

I also do a bit of running, 10km between 45-50mins and do 150 press ups on off days of the gym in 4 or 5 attempts.

It's a quick routine but it makes finding the time and motivation during the day easy to go in and lash it out.

Can anybody suggest any minor amendments to keep me on the straight and narrow, I have had pts and programmes in the past but generally don't stick to it and fall back into the above routine which has worked on my arms but I know myself isn't a good workout to be doing 3 times a week.

    Any tips/advice much appreciated
