Ireland's answer to Alan Partridge vs England's answer to Ryan Tubridy

Two men enter, one man leaves

    Who goes? You decide.

Farrel, Drico and Coogan.....Now seriously what can possibly go wrong!!

"do the partridge voice, look at this clip of the Oirish sketch, now audience it's just a bit of fun, what were you like in school i bet you were a messer down the back of the class"

Coogan will want to talk mostly about his new film and I would say most of it will be taken up with that. Partridge will get a side mention only.

"So Colin, will we be seeing you in Love/Hate ?"
    "Eh... whats that, Ryan"
    "An Irish gangster drama"
"Sounds interesting, I did Intermission a few years back. I'm moving on. By the way - why don't cats like you ?"

Makes you wonder how Ryan spends his weekends!

any chance Steve Coogan will appear as Alan Partridge????

make great TV if he does, he could say offensive things about the irish

i hope Steve coogan has been briefed!

tubs: "coogan... that's a very Irish....
    Steve: "Noooooo tubridy.....noooooo"

So after lowering the standard of the show with Coogan and Drico ...
"33 and 1/3% of The Three Tenors José Carreras is in studio for a chat and a song, bringing a bit of class to the proceedings. What an honour and a privilege." Says Tubridy

    also on the show tonight:
    Gok Wan

Only RTE could write a billing like that, which could be taken as an insult if O'Driscoll, Coogan or Farrell were so minded

It looks like Brian O'Driscoll is only going to get a regular interview, rather than the 'special' which was promised earlier this year

With all these big names, I am reminded of when Homer Simpson took over the bin collections and spent the annual budget in the first week. We will probably have even more canteen and misery guests from now on.

    Enjoy it while you can!

I suppose BOD is having spare time to go over to the LLS with Ryan because Leinster are playing with Castres tomorrow in the RDS; even though he isn't playing in it himself.

I have seen Alan Partridge Alpha Papa with a few cousins of mine during the summer & thought it was hilarious.

It is not a bad guest list at all tonight. I am just hoping RT does not make a travesty of his interviewing skills when he was Sinead O'Connor.

Having BOD on will be an improvement on having a cat on last Friday anyway.

Yeah, he was great as Francie 'Touchy' Feely in Moone Boy. I hope he appears in Series 2

No doubt Tubs will give us full details of his Irish family tonight

I think it's the only question they programmed the Tubtron 3000 with " so you've a bit of Irish in you?"

Coogan isn't a native Irish name. It is originally Welsh.

The Late Late Show or the new series of Walking Dead..hmmm which to watch?
One is full of lifeless people whose responses are wooden and move slowly and are not aware of what is happening around them.

The other is an American horror-drama set in a post apocalyptic world over run by zombies

There's always time to fit in a big jumbo sausage roll, although there's a fear the sausage roll will eat Tubs :D

I knew a guy called O'Reilly in the UK who had no interest in Ireland nor any belief he was Irish ( the name went back generations).

Spot on. Greatly underappreciated post! :D

Don't think Tubs deserves all the stick he gets, but he's just not a natural chat show host. Dreadfully underprepared sometimes.

Well, Imelda you're a lovely girl. Although I heard you a bit of bad luck recently. Your dad was knocked down by a car...

    No, that was my father.

It says here that you are 22.

    19.

It says here you were born in Cavan. That's a lovely part of the world.

    Dundalk.

I see Professor Brian Cox (the Keyboard player from D:Ream) was in Dublin today.

Shame they couldn't have squeezed him in.

Yeah, was thinking exactly that when he was on The Pat Kenny Show earlier. Do we have the full guest list?

Have to say, it's a pretty good line up tonight. Should be a good show.

I'm getting a bit nervous about this show it looks good.

They should have a last minute guest to **** it up

    Dunphy
    Harris
    Waters
    Hook

I haven't felt angry - the budget was only bad for the old. I'm a bit too happy.

    At the last count

    Brian O'Driscoll
    Steve Coogan
    Colin Farrell
    José Carreras
    Gok Wan

Also music from Bray's own Big September, who sound like this

Well, they are taking a week off due to the LLS having a shockingly good Guest List for once, buy they did leave this behind in case there were any requests ...

Nice one, Skid. By that count there's still plenty of room for misery, I reckon.

What'll it be this week? Hasn't been Cancer for a few weeks, but my money's on abuse of some sort.

Edit: No, no wait, gangland crime. After yer man being released the other day an' all. Yep, my money's on gangland crime. Don't think Paul Williams has been in yet this season, must be time for him to make an appearance.
