Refurbished or new cheapie?

    Looking for tablets for my kids (I'll need two possibly three) mainly to read, use apps and watch movies when travelling long distance.
    So my option is a cheapie, kindle fire or refurbished samsung galaxy 2 from laptopsdirect (€118).
    I'm not willing to pay more than €120 per tablet and I'm not techie at all so any help appreciated
