You look at our squad and while it isn't up to the standard of the other three, very few teams are.

Looking at our squad the poor hand cannot be dealt this year. The performances haven't been good but that's what happens with a new coach. I'd probably give out about not having a defence coach but someone said that the other provinces are short on coaches so meh.

Have to agree that Connacht have bought well this year. And its also positive to see muldowney putting in very solid performances. Think these positives have been negated by a significant decline in Gavin's and dans recent performances. However this has given ronaldson the chance to step up to the mark and he looks a damm fine player. Your left thinking if Connacht had less of an injury list they do have a bit of bite in them. Its likely so'oailo's permit will be available by next weekend. He certainly seems to have the credentials but its a huge game to throw in a full back like him who has never played with other team members.

Looking at a back line for next week it seems (from what happened at the weekend) that possibily Healy, griffin and ronaldon may not be fit and Gavin is simply not playing well. That leaves few choices left for pat lam in this area.

And it really doesn't look much better with the forwards. The loss of faloon is huge, injuries to loughney and white don't help, McKeown is a big loss. Heenan looks a decent player.

Has to be hard to look at an injury list each week that must nearly equal the amount of players available. While rotation is fine and good (to give an example) we have MCs Harry and tonetti injured at 12 so we are down to third choice in that position. As such pat lam had no choice but to move eoin to 12 to cover the gap. And while we have an abundance of wingers if the ball isn't going to get to them they are not of much use.
