Tinned Tuna - How much is too much?

I eat 5 tins of the small flavoured tuna a week - one every day for lunchtime.

Is this too much and could it be causing long term side effects?

I just love them so would hate to have to change this part of my diet!

Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't know how much is too much but tuna can have a relatively high mercury content and then there's the BPA from the lining of the can.

But there are probably plenty of people that go through life eating that much tinned tuna and don't suffer any side effects.

I'd say that level of consumption is perfectly fine, I used to eat anywhere from 5 to 10 of the 130g cans weekly for months on end and I never died. yet

Read it as five tins a day at first.

OP, you'll be fine. And if I'm wrong, I'll be swimming in the Styx a long time before you.

I probably go through five of the big tins a week so hopefully not! I have read about the mercury poisoning aspect but its not something I'm overly concerned about myself!
