Just looking at the Prodigy at Isle of Wight festival 2009 and they are seriously kicking, so they get my vote anyway.

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

It's not exactly the most exciting news, but Flume posted something on his Facebook which says he's playing on the Sunday, for any daytrippers.

Basement Jaxx have just announced a set of tour dates. We could get lucky.

They're unreal live. Saw them at Witness in 2002 and at the time they wouldn't have been my thing at all but my god, once it started the place erupted.

Saw them in 2005, great. 2008, rubbish.

Basement Jaxx please. They should have some new material to try out too, been ages since the last album.

If some of HudMo, Gesaffelstein, Kavinsky, Chromeo, Bloody Beetroots or Boys Noize aren't announced in the next announcement, I'll be very sad.

I don't know how i'd react if Kavinsky was announced. Be pretty chuffed with Gesaffelstein as well though

If it was six years ago.

I'd probably still go and see him even though he wasn't great live even at the height of his popularity.

Love the way this thread goes, someone gives a pretty solid argument of why an act more than likely won't be playing and then the next few pages are dedicated to the pros and cons of that act playing. i.e. QOTSA, Prodigy and most bizzarely Coldplay!

I'd love if we proved wrong and some of those acts were added, but just from experience last year, the 2nd announcement was a bit of a damp squib. That being said, Robert Plant was one of the highlights of the weekend for me

In fairness, what else are we gonna talk about? We've talked the current line up to death so all that's left is speculation and quibbling until there's more acts announced.

Unless we want to start talking tents! What tent will we see you all in? I haven't gone tent shopping yet - suggestions welcome. (I'm usually broke so will probably end up in one for 50eur from argos.) :pac:

Seems like a good discussion. I already have a tent , I can't remember the brand but it's a three man tent with metal pegs.

    Pros: Keeps out rain
Cons: Hot when sun comes out

apparently space blankets help to keep the tent cool during the day. Not too expensive either.

Fancy, no recession in your house.... :pac:

I got lots of prices for those tents, they are bloody gorgeous but just couldn't justify the cost in the end. You can buy them outright cheaper than hiring them for the weekend.

Working out at about 180 a head. Pricey enough alright but we're bringing some friends from abroad so wanted to make it the best we could for them, one has health problems so the more private toilet/shower facilities will come in handy.

Looked at getting a campervan initially but would have needed 6 bodies to makke it affordable, plus extra hassle of picking up dropping off etc, plus most were booked already for that weekend!

But do you wear them, or hand them up on the walls/roof of your tent? The product description mentions 'retaining heat' a lot...not yet entirely convinced ;)

Lots of people swear by them over on eFests. You put it in the lining of the tent. Not tried it myself but for a few euro I would be happy to give it a go if it means I don't wake up in an oven.
