I was informed about this today and thought I'd give it a shot, but where do I start?! Is there anywhere I can buy some sort of package where it's all pre-made for me either online or in a shop? I don't have a juicer and don't really feel like buying one just to give it a go. What are my options?

Yep if your in Dublin try pressedout. ie.. I had this very thought last week. Got a few green juices delivered to my job and was so impressed I bought a proper juicer (omega 8006) and a load of organic veg from the farmers market in town.. Been having one every day, gorgeous and I feel better for it already! Good luck!

I lasted 3 days on a juice only diet about 5 weeks ago, managed to shed 11lbs in those 3 days, and it wasn't just water weight the weight didn't come back and still hasn't.
I followed this guys diet, http://www.juicemaster.com , i'll do it again shortly and maybe last a little longer the next time.
His book is free with some philips juicers, the diet is easy follow and they juices taste ok, the amount of work involved in constantly cleaning the juicer was the only down side.
You don't feel hungry as your stuffed from the juices.

Juicing is idiotic. You take and drink all the water and sugar from fruit and leave behind the fibre. You may as well drink a coke with a sprinkling of vitamins in it. Eat fruit, don't juice it.

I make smoothies, all you need is a blender.

I did the juicemaster 3 day detox (downloaded the app) a few weeks back and felt fab on it. Dropped about 4lbs which did not come back. Where I noticed it made a real difference is in my mood and well being. Maybe it is the placebo effect, but i was definitely in a better place. Am going to do it Monday to Wednesday of this week too.

Out of interest, how did you guys manage this around work. Did you make all of the juice in the morning?
I'm a juicer too, usually have one every morning for breakfast

I made them before work and put them in a flask with ice, i've a cooler bag that I used to use for beer (how times have changed) and it works perfect at keeping the flasks nice and chilled, it is a complete pain in the backside keeping everything washed and juiced constantly. Very hard to do when your working.

In the UK you can get the juices delivered it's 150 for 5 days worth, It would be well worth it.

I'd second everything anewea said above, it does recharge you and make you feel better on the inside, my body is nearly craving to do it again.

I probably need to just build it into my diet somewhere, maybe for breakfast and one in the evening or something like that. I need to find out when the best times would be.
The apple and cinnamon in the night time does away with the sweet tooth craving I have.

I though this thread was about something totally different.

Did a 10 day juice fast recently. Went fine, lost weight and had no hunger after the 2nd day. It's a great way to get loads of nutrients into you without the bulk even if you are eating normally the rest of the time.

Rapidly losing weight over ten days is pointless. Over-loading with certain nutrients for ten days is pointless. "Detoxing" for ten days is pointless. The body doesn't work like that, short term extremes are no good. Eat a healthy diet and you will be a healthy weight, have all the nutrients you need, and have no toxin build up.

Your body does its own detoxing with the liver and kidneys. These 10-day fad diets are stupid gimmicks - integrate healthy attitudes into your day, every day.

Drunkmonkey, integrating it into your normal everyday diet would be good. You could possibly replace your breakfast or lunch with one. That's what I'm doing myself and having dinner in the evenings and and it seems to be working well.

Watch the "Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead" movie on Netflix, it shows two very unfit guys on a 60day juice fast.
Just shows what's possible, some pretty inspirational results.
