2 wickets in an over but a damage limitation excercise at this stage

  • Registered Users Posts: 39,499 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

Just the 412 to chase then. Any chance of a sudden prolonged rain shower?

Rag week 2 -0 copper pipe

Haven't seen any of the game, but looks like Rag week is a good bet for the clean sheet :( this week. Disappointed I took the punt on Copper pipe, - I'll be shipping him out next week.

Ah rag week, so good that after I had finished college in 2006, I took a week off work in February 2007 and returned for it! €2 a pint from 10am until 2pm - a Cavan man's dream. Great breakfast to set you up for the day.

Our highest ever ODI total, so pretty good. Could have been higher though. Bowlers going well though. 4 wickets down.

Unfortunately for us though Pakistan beat South Africa today so we will likely have to win this game and beat Pakistan in our last game to qualify

That's a disaster Pakistan winning. Hopefully get the win today 3 wins is a great achievement if they can do it.

Not really a disaster. With the NRR situation we were always likely to have to beat Pakistan.

Ultimately the unfortunate result was WI beating Pakistan. After beating WI we really wanted them losing to all of SA, India and Pakistan.

Ye that's true unfortunate set of results all round.

Chasing 332 has never been done at a world cup before so its not the worst! Its a fairly meaningless record though as the game is changing so quickly what was once an impossible target now looks relatively easy.

No matter what happens its been an incredibly tournament for Ireland they have shown they deserve to be playing at the highest level.

Big wicket, will be close but i think we will do it.

Superb performance! One thing I think this really shows that "pound for pound" Ireland is probably the best sporting nation on the planet and I'm English! There isn't any other country who could compete with England at football, rugby & cricket.

    what a win

Tough to beat a really close ODI the tension at the end is always amazing!

I have always loved cricket i'm a bit of a traditionalist I still prefer test cricket!

Irelands performances are even more impressive given the the countries that can compete at two games that game is their national sport. Imagine how much stronger Ireland would be if the GAA games weren't played!

Haha. Wrecked, great win. 3 wins in a WC for the first time, two against full members. With a poor bowling attack and the likes of poor KOB having to bowl more overs than he'd ever want - murtagh and Rankin you are badly missed.

Such a pity WI beat Pakistan in that game.

Just ridiculous. Feels like England couldn't chase down 300 vs anyone. Probably best they go out now instead of getting battered later on.
