    Don't do it!

Would you not think about renting in Cork instead of commuting every day?

According to Google Maps it will cost €15 * in petrol one way.

So such a journey is going to take:

    - About 3 hours a day
    - €600 per month in petrol
    - Other costs of maintenance and wear and tear to a car.

You can probably rent in Cork for €400 or less and have an extra 3 hours a day to yourself.

You will have far more time to study and socialise. I honestly believe that commuting like this when studying is a false economy.

Unless you have major commitments like a mature student with wife/husband and kids with a mortgaged home in Clonmel then you would be much better off living in Cork.

I have to agree. If you are without the car at any time, the earliest you can get in is 10:20.
