Jam - No added sugar

So, jam. I love the stuff so much and could eat it all day long but it's just so laced with sugar that I've been majorly avoiding it for a very long time now. However, I was in the shops today and saw a new one from Follain which is has no added sugar. Three ingredients: raspberries, grape juice and pectin. I know that raspberries and grape juice are loaded with natural sugar but I'm wondering if this stuff is all that bad for me. I'd appreciate advice or thoughts from someone better informed than me on these things.

Here's the NI from the Follain site:

Those jams are out years. Sweetened with juice not added sugar.

Nice high fruit content in them but as with all sweet things they should be eaten in moderation.

Sugar is sugar. Grape juice is also a sugar(actually sweeter than table sugar). American companies love adding fructose( the sugar found in fruit as its cheap to produce) and because they can legally say a product is rich in fruit.

Likewise oil is oil. Olive oil might be healthier than butter, but its still a fat and will make you put on weight if its not used in moderation.

Its a great jam. But sugar is sugar so to speak.

I like this jam as its so easy to spread as its not laced with thickeners.

I usually buy 10 jars at a time as my local centra will have it on offer for 2euro a jar every few months (usually 3.80 or so).

They also do a whiskey marmalade (has some added sugar though, cane sugar i think) but tastes superb!
