Ahh boards TS, I spend more time laughing on there then trying to kill people in game. Never have a good round when on there its toooo funny and cant play :pac:

Do a search in the MultiplayerServer Browser menu for "test server" and it shows whatever EA Dice test servers are running at the moment. They all seem to be based in Ireland.

I wonder will it mean Irish servers for the full game. I'm sold on the full game and premium too, as for me its an improvement on most of bf3.

on pc probably not unless ea decide to host servers (which is doubtful) probably on xbox/ps3 though as dice ea servers are needed

Okay fair enough, look this is good 'cos I am hoping the move to Ps4 for me will be worth it vis a vis BF4 so if there is a big jump to PC well I am happy to go in the middle of that with the PS4.

The game has certainly grown on me. I played BF3 the other night expecting the controls to be way different but they actually weren't, maybe I just got used to BF4 controls since, I don't know.

Why the flip they didn't include Rush on the beta is beyond me though, if I played this on console for the first time I'd leave it at that... not enough players for that map

Agreed, however I see that Obliteration is listed in the server filter, wonder if they'll make that mode available before the beta finishes ?

Wasnt it between 720p and 1080p? Some say 900p if I am not mistaken.

The PS3 never did scale that well in the 1st place so hopefully the PS4 will be able to at least match the old Xbox and the Xbox one.

I'm playing on Xbox. And find it fairly poor. Graphics wise anyway. The gameplay seems decent but nothing majorly good. I'm playing without a squad and find it's fairly big. I think on average I die maybe 4-6 times in a round and usually finish over evens. Just by avoiding contact so much. Would love to invest in a PC and buy BF:4 for that though. Always preferred battlefields on PC compared to Xbox

Ya its a relatively empty game on a map that size. Plus conquest isnt really my thing I love rush at least everybody is concentrated on one or 2 objectives. Though domination isnt half bad.

Guns and hit boxes are shockingly bad even for a beta.....just no skill involved at all. Laser point on the guns does not match up when you zoom in, its about an inch of which totally defeats the purpose of the laser for accuracy. I know its more so from the hip but its terrible. Pay and spray wins the day....better sharpen up the hitboxes pronto or I will wait for BF:Vietnam part deux.

Tanks shells on inf. is so bad you would be better off opening the hatch and cursing at them you do more damage. But the tank mechanics are back to being beefy and strong which is good.

For anyone still experiencing poor fps try setting cpu priority to low and if you have an Nvidia card choose dynamic vsync for BF4.exe in the nvidia control panel and turn off vsync in game worked for me

They are AP shells - they shouldn't even explode when they hit the ground or a building, let alone have splash damage.

i had great craic playing this game last night on the Xbox.

The C capture point was where it was all at because there are so many places you can get invaded from and you really need to team up as a squad to clear it out and keep it.

I really like B when the building has collapsed. Under constant threat from snipers, tanks and choppers (but there is still cover available) and the enemy can approach the flag from the water and from the land and when you need to help out at C or A, you're only a 10 second swim and you're back into another attacking or defensive position.

The fact that the infantry can move between flags really easily but the vehicles need to take the bridges (which can be blockaded with those bollards) also makes things interesting and means that the game can still be frantic even though there are fewer players.

It's a pity there isn't more of an incentive for the recon guy to lock up the targets . Unless you are in a squad like that you could run around for the whole map and not see one lock .

On that Irish server again last night and had a few good games . Odd thing we did notice though was with 5 of us on there we would get game crashes where it would crash at the exact same time for some of us , but not for others .

I dont have dynamic vsync in my control panel, but do have adaptive vsync.
Either way ive changed to adaptive and cpu priority to low and the stuttering is now gone,running smooth as butter now even on high/ultra with AA and HBAO off.

That's what I meant adaptive not dynamic silly me ha I think its only 600 series cards and up

Awh was really hoping for a second map but new game mode is also good. Also ktulu there are smaller conquest servers that only have 3 capable points and scout choppers instead of attack, I know you were asking about it in game one time

Nice must try one of them too. Had my first game of Obliteration there, seems pretty decent. Team work is going to be key in it.

Run the game, CTRL + SHIFT then ESC. Right click on the BF4.exe & set priority.

Played another game of Obliteration, pointless to play without a decent squad with communication. You would think you give priority to the bomb carrier out in the middle of the ocean. But no, idiots want to sit on the back of your jet ski shooting in the air instead. Also gun ship pilots miles away from the bomb, idiots on top of roofs etc...

Looking forward to playing with the lads later

Start task manager on your desktop then when you have bf4 running right click on the bf4.exe under the processes tab I think it is and you have an option for cpu priority set it to low

I really hope BF4 gets its act together. Im very disappointed in it so far. It just feels slow compared to BF3. Its hard for me to compare too much though as I hate softcore mode, I never played it in BF3 at all. So playing softcore with all the HUD, auto health, orange blobs on the map etc just seems like a kids game. The red death cam thing is criminal in my mind.

We are praying its going to be good, because after many hours playing it, everyone was feeling "meh" after the initial "wow" of the graphics. We then went and played some Operation Metro and the game felt sooooooo much better.

In respect to the game does anyone think the killfeed is bad, this mightn't be an issue to some but for me when I am engaging on multiple targets I use the killfeed to know if one is dead (it is faster than seeing a dead body)

I am not talking about the killfeed in the top right corner, the kill feed where they tell you what points you got.

Look at BF3, the kill feed was below the scoring system, not muddled up like it is now.

Does anyone else share this small pain?

wait for the bomb to show up somewhere and then escort it to one of control points, when the other team try to prevent you doing that

Unless they start giving x2 or even x3 points for teamwork this game is going down the pan.....there is no incentive to play it like it should be played. I mean if people cannot play a BF game correctly now then forget about it. Countless times I am in a tank with a gunner we get hit, I jump out to fix (being the main driver) and the other fu.c.k tard drives off!!!!

Still running around after support for ammo and they have no clue what I am shouting for....so frustrating.
