Well this is a sure fire way of knowing if Cathal got on TUF ;)

I think you're putting two and two together there and getting 5.

Putting on a featherweight title fight in Dublin on New Year's Eve has nothing to do with whether or not Cathal will be involved.

I took what your man was saying to mean that if Cathal is booked for this card it'll be an indication that he didn't get into TUF.

I thought seeing as Cathal was cornering lads at EFN in Dublin which was pretty soon after the TUF tryouts, that he didn't get in, but I don't really know how the TUF timeline goes..

My apologies if I misinterpreted. Still, either way, Cathal's involvement, or otherwise, in this event is no guarantee of how TUF went for him. Being at EFN wouldn't rule him out either. There's usually a break of a good few weeks between the trials and the filming of the show.

I think you might be being a bit presumptuous. I fully expect Neil Seery to defend his belt that night. Just because he's not the first fight announced doesn't mean he won't be on the card.

Then again I could be wrong.

He would have tried out for TUF and then gone home, awaiting a phone call so him cornering in an event so soon after means nothing.

What i was trying to say is, Cathal is a shoe in for the Dublin NYE card, if he gets on TUF he won't be on it, simple as that, because they'll be starting filming in Jan and no way would he risk an injury with whats on the table

Oh I see. I had it in my head that they tried out and then filming started straight away. The intrigue of it all!

My mate auditioned at the same time of year as Cathal did a few years back, passed everything, did a trial tv promo and they said they'd call him, he stayed on weight and ready all over christmas but the call didn't come :(

How does every Cage Warriors thread end up talking about TUF?

CWFC lightweight champion Stevie Ray vs. Ivan Buchinger added, as well as Catherine Costigan vs. Elodie Puget.

The two lads went for the trials a few months back. Both got through the first stage and went on to Vegas.

They Came home. They were here for the EFN, Went back a few weeks for the prelim fights to get into the house.

They are filming now. They'll be done by NYE i'd say No?

Looking like it's going to shape up to be a great card

They'll be done filming alright, but anybody in the house will be under contract, they won't be able to appear another promotion.

I was wondering what are the best seats left for this as the ticket website doesn't give you the section or row?

I'm not sure what's left available, but I was there at an event last year with Scud and we were up on the balcony. They were by far the best seats in the whole place. Fantastic view and they were the cheaper seats if I remember correctly.

Any idea how you know which are the balcony seats on the payment window?. A €35, B €45, C €50?. It doesnt explain on the payment option what is balcony?.

When I went, the cheapest seats were the balcony as far as I know.
Maybe someone else here can clarify.
Or give the helix a call and ask them.

Very nice showing by Catherine Costigan. Out stuck her opponent and was much better on the ground.

Mules Price was caught a beaut by that triangle, unlucky for him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,707 ✭✭✭pablohoney87

Crackin fights so far. Redmond showed some great poise and control as did Amanda and Catherine. Myles was very unlucky. Triangle just seemed so quick it surprised him (me too)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,698 ✭✭✭Gumbi

Redmond had a very active guard, had two very real sub attempts. Pity, he was caught out at the end.

was that greg loughran in alers corner?

    Great comeback and submission

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,698 ✭✭✭Gumbi

3 rounds down. Stevie Ray looked very strong, and seemed the stronger wrestler. Ivan simply came out stronger in the fourth and got the better if Stevie consistently while jockeying for position.

    Great comeback indeed.

Didn't seem like the real Redmond, he was getting beat even without the sub. I have a feeling he was harboring a niggly injury into the fight. But give Teodorczuk his due he was good.

Plus teodorczuk has beaten some good fighters at 170 so he's no slouch
