Good card at Newmarket tomorrow and the return of the Friday nights at Dundalk. In the second at Newmarket, I think Hanagan has made the wrong choice out of the Maktoum fillies. I'm not usually that impressed by handicappers going forward into stakes races but Lanansaak looked a filly to keep on side when easily winning a good looking Ascot handicap after nearly a year off off a mark of 82, winning by 5 lengths on the bridle, with another 10 lengths clear to third. 11/2 looks a tasty each way bet, Igugu has a bit to prove after Dubai but this is a big drop in class.

Looking forward to seeing this filly Radiator again.

Thought she might be a bit of odds on tomorrow but is 11/10 in places. Radiator could be a cut above this lot.

She may win but 11/10 is a shocking price in a field full of unexposed fillies

Fabre's Miss France looks intriguing but the fav demolished a field lto.

Rizeena and soft falling rain look worthy favs in the later races.

Might have a look at that horrible, massive field, the 5pm handicap, for a small ew play.

I like Rizeena alot but I have been so impressed with Ihtimal on her last two starts, should be a cracking race.

Group 1 form is hard to beat, should win.

A couple of firms doing 5 places for the 5 pm handicap at nmkt. Dream Walker taking a big jump in class (2 grades) but gone up nearly 30lbs in 2months and on a serious upward curve. Horrible race.

Much prefer a rizeena/soft falling rain double tbh

Rizeena will be hard to beat but Ihtimal has impressed me so much, still loads of improvement to come from her and even last time out she was still a bit too keen. At the prices I'll be backing her, obviously she has a bit to find with Rizeena but it wouldn't surprise me at all if she does.

Also worth noting that Rizeena is stepping up to a mile for the first time, based on her Curragh run she will have no problem getting it though I'll take a chance that Ihtimal will have a better turn of foot than Rizeena when it matters. As I said though its a cracking race in prospect.

At the prices I'd also take on Soft Falling Rain. Was really impressed with him at Meydan but was disappointed with the way he ran behind Gregorian last time. Montiridge's run last time was to bad to be true, would be willing to give him another chance at 10/3.

Tomorrow's card at Dundalk looks a little tricky and wouldn't be going balls deep in any, but think that Bravely Fought has been running over the wrong trips since he made his comeback from a long time off the track and hasn't shaped all that badly in them, that was a really good Curragh handicap two starts back. Been given a massive chance by the handicapper dropped three lbs from a run at Gowran last week where he fared better than the bare result suggests.(traded much lower in running on both his last two runs over inadequate trips). Last win came off a mark of 106 over three years ago but think he has a big run in him soon, hopefully tomorrow. 11/1 with PP if I could get bigger in the morning I'd be a happy man

It sounds like a case of proven form against hype in the group1 how rizeena is only a quarter of a point shorter than ihtimaal I have no idea.
I have to back her at almost 2/1

She will need to be the best two year old filly for the last few years. Not many win over 5 furlongs up to a mile as two year olds especially by Iffraaj. Lady O'Reilly's looks a big price for each way money and no questions over the trip

Very impressive by Soft Falling Rain there, Montiridge travelled well but SFR really picked up well the further they went

    Did Radiator win?
    Did this double.

    Also, did Lightning Thunder place?

Radiator was very poor, but the speed figures from its 15 length romp were desperate.

    Ah.
Yeah that was alluded to by Pricewise in the RP earlier so it kinda put me off a bit, so only did a wee double.

    What won?
Thought Lightning Thunder was a place bet to nothing earlier, was it anywhere?

2nd to Miss France by a hd.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,451 ✭✭✭Overthelast

Waiting on Rizeena to land a double.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,451 ✭✭✭Overthelast

Miss France was only a hd in front, but was travelling all over the 2nd horse and was asked to win by the minimum margin - the margin of the win is a bit misleading. She could turn out to be quite special

Couldnt believe the price of Rizeena earlier. About right now.

Great ride by Hughes on Chrisellium, Rizeena nabbed late but ran a nice race again. Intihmal has no excuses as the winner was right besides most of the way and showed a terrific turn of foot to win going away

    1st (3) Chriselliam 28/1
    2nd (5) Rizeena 7/4 Fav
    3rd (4) Ihtimal 5/2 2Fav
