Boards Photobook 2013

Hi all,

Just to give a heads up to those who don't visit the Photographic Events & Projects subforum but post in the main forum - we are just after kicking off discussion for the annual photobook!

Some background
One photograph submitted per person and in return, you buy a copy of the book - simples! All proceeds go to the Santa Strikeforce Children's Charity.

The book is published in hardback format - with an official book launch in late November/early December. Images from last year's book are on Pixie - http://pix.ie/boardsbook

If you are interested we would like your suggestions and feedback - before we start taking official sign-ups (separate thread opening next week!).

Great We will be opening up a thread in the next day or so - just waiting on the quote to be finalised so that we can say what the cost is exactly.

Nope! There's no book without photos! To be in the book, you submit your image and your money.. then we announce the launch date. This is 90% finalised just waiting on confirmation!

Sorry...that was meant as a joke. As in people comit but struggle to narrow it down to one photo for the book....

I guess what we want is for people to commit with their image and money up front! It's going to be a very quick turn around - we need 3 weeks for the printers, 1 week delivery - giving us a very small window to gather images, money and design the book!

It's all very exciting though

It's not just for a good cause it's as well a brilliant memory and compilation of the different styles we have here on the forum.

Yes we have. We're at 50 and are heading for 50+ Was a bit of a slow burner and I'd say we won't get the 2011 submission number but still very good.

Btw.: Have you decided on your picture yet?

PS: Accommodation booked for the book launch (staying 2 nights and I want to be there for the photo walk). Soooooo can't wait for that weekend now :-)

Great to hear you're making a whole weekend out of it! If you need company outside the photowalk / launch I'm sure we can arrange something

You can scrap the PSD files and keep what you need - you know what's best Im sure;)
