Seven at home for me, though one is involved in the Manc derby. Hoping for a decent week though.

    1 goal. That's all I ask.

I can't do another week of cheering on clean sheets. It's all starter and no dessert.

I wonder will my 'keeper's curse continue? Play Mignolet & he concedes while Boruc keeps a clean sheet, swap them and the same thing happens.

Mignolet in goal today as Saints play lots of pretty football but can't convert chances.

I was in the same situation last year with Jussi and Begovic, such a curse

4-3-3 for me, 10 at home, only Soldado away.

I see totalfpl are going 2-5-3 - must be expecting a goalfest !

Seems a lot of people are going all out on Arsenal, so although I have Ozil and Giroud, I wouldn't mind a one-nil there (Ozil goal, Giroud assist :-) )

    Can't decide on my 3rd defender :(

    Whitakker(NOR) or Collins (WHU)

They'll both concede more than likely!

I'm hoping for a Benteke hat-trick so I think I'll go with Collins.

If Pokerking, my FSA CC opponent, is watching, I'm warning you now that I'm captaining Andy Carroll -- the big lad is due a hat-trick. ;)

Collins for me. West Ham have been very good defensively so far.

    Mignolet + 4m keeper = problem solved.

    4-3-3 today

I'm so terrified of Ben Arfa ripping Hull a new one, I just put 20 on him to score 2 or more. 17/1 on paddy power.

Same boat here, might get on that bet me self though

2 x Liverpool and 2 x Arsenal attackers (one of which, Sturridge, is captain) for me so the Stoke/Southampton fixtures will play a big part in my week. Potentially good GW on paper, but that can amount to very little in this game.

He'll probably only get one goal but 5 assists :pac:

Makes it so much easier, have given up 2 keeper option so much so that I couldn't tell you my dud without checking

Same as every week so far, my main result would be Liverpool winning to 0 with Sturridge getting on the scoresheet. Following that it would be nice if Soldado, Ben Arfa and Nolan could do something.

I'm hopeful that there are some surprise packages this week, could do with some bandwagoners if I decide to wildcard. Still 50/50 on it.

    Lol yeah.

He came out and said he can win the ballon D'Or.

Hull are also missing both their LBs so if he is going to run riot, today is the day.

only have 5 players playing today, so hoping for a quiet day, hopefully break 25-30.

Could be wrong but i think Eirksen will outscore HBA over 6 games let alone the season, bad move imo

Come on Redmond. I'm rather optimistic he can match or better the bigger hitters that be Ben Arfa and Eriksen this week before I most likely swoop for one next week!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,600 ✭✭✭roryc

We can't all be optimistic about this week can we!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,141 ✭✭✭Santi101

Hoping the Ben Arfa train comes to a halt today. Consistency has always been his problem.

Hull could be a tougher game than people think.

Van Persie most captained again this week...

Case of wk 1 captain for most who haven't logged in since?

From the dustiest desert to lushest rain forest GW5 can yield more than our wildest dreams ever thought possible :) .....until 12:45 when all shatters and crumbles around us and we enter the night of the living dead and relive our worst nightmares

What I want to see this weekend:

    - Clean sheets for the big teams at home to weaker opposition (Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal)

    - Expensive midfielders to contribute a lot more than they have been doing (Hazard specifically)

    - Soldado to get back on the score sheet, with Sturridge running riot

    - A 0-0 draw between Manchester United and Manchester City

That would be a perfect weekend :pac:

My completely rational hatred of the budgies is showing here

Hope Villa twat them for 4

Put Lukaku in instead of Giroud at last minute on my wildcard. Have a feeling he'll hit ground running looking to prove a point to Mourinho, so need him to rip West Ham apart and Giroud to go easy or I'll be feeling pretty silly! :)

    :pac:

    Bradley Johnson
    Johnny Howson
    Robert Snodgrass
    Luciano Becchio

Nolan needs someone to play off, as it is we'll be lucky to have more than a couple of shots on target.

Only saving grace for the Hammers is our defence - quietly confident of a clean sheet against all but the best teams at home.

Giroud v Stoke would have been a better option, imo.

Turner executing the offside trap to aplomb but Benteke could only hit the bar anyway. Looking dangerous though

Put Whittaker in for Brady last minute as Brady was flagged so if Brady doesn't start either now I'm left with Ward-Prowse to come in ffs... fear beginning to set in already! Need Benteke to rip Norwich a new one now to restore my faith!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,305 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Prodston

Grrrrr Wolf!! Costing Redmond an assist!

An awful start to the gameweek for me with Whittaker being dropped and Snodgrass missing that penalty. Benteke feel free to knock in a hattrick now buddy. :D
