Lunch ideas

    Starting back college on Monday and just trying to plan what I'll eat for lunch /during the day but I'm seriously lacking ideas.

    I'll be in most days 9-6, possibly later some days so will be planning on bringing one large "meal" as such with me and 2/3 smaller snacks to keep me going and resist the sugary lure of the vending machines. I'll have access to a microwave sometimes but not always.

    So any suggestions/ideas/inspiration ?

    Do you cook a dinner each night when you get home? If so, cook a double portion; eat half that night and put the other half in a lunch box for lunch the next day.

    My Mum usually cooks dinner for everyone each day so there's usually not even enough left over to even give the dog a few scraps so I'd be lucky to get a lunch out of the leftovers.

    It does depend what she cooks though , if it's pasta or a stir fry for dinner there's usually some leftovers so I could take those but it's only once or twice a week she cooks that so I need other things.

    I do the same as you. To college I bring these kinda things;

    Pasta, shredded chicken w/pasta sauce
    Rice,chicken and brocolli
    Wrap w/ either chicken,onion,rice or a BLT.
    Chicken ,egg fried rice, onion, mushrooms with a sauce.

    I'd bring yogurts, bananas, rice cakes and an owl bar to be nice to myself:P
