And I don't mean the longest running name or the one that shares a platform with an old model or is rebadged (say like a seat exeo)

Is Octavia 2 still for sale? That'd be 2004

Just to clarify, not the oldest name or the one tats had the most generations.
The one that's stayed the same and is still on sale.

Just thinking, current minis been out a while now. (2001?)
New ones not out yet is it?

Beetle, Corolla etc dont count. Same name but completely different car. Longest running exact same model that I can can think of is the Suzuki Jimny. 1998 I think they came out

In Ireland id have said either the Octavia or S40 to this year, most likely pre 132 reg numbers.

Otherwise as a model grande punto?

Wasn't the gen 2 Mini launched in 2007 though? I know they look similiar but if I recall it was billed as "all new" at the time.

They stopped building them in 2006. They just about had all the stockpiles sold off by 2008 :)

The S40 was in for a good run there.

    http://www.carzone.ie/search/Volvo/S40/D2-SE-4D/34313606651265470/advert?channel=CARS

You could give the LandRover Discovery 4 the same run, it's the exact same shape as the 04 model, just a way nicer interior and exterior facelift.

Edit: The S80 and XC90 are the same.

Come to think of it, Volvo have really been milking it.

Was just an (ugly) facelift though. Car was been virtually unchanged since 2005. Which explains why sales have collapsed so much. No wonder Fiat have lost so much market share in Europe, models need to be replaced. The likes of Kia seem to have new models every other week and is key to their success.

Not as long as you'd think. Was it 2007 it came here? Was well out of date even at launch. Is it gone a year or two now? Not since a new one in yonks anyhow.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,694 ✭✭✭✭L-M

If we are, DPD have a 132 High Roof transit that you could buy the same in 02 bar the facelifted front
