Ive been working hard last 3-4 months down from 13.5 stone to 11.6 diet and routine seem ok

but somedays my weight shoots or drops drastically like this morning im 11.11 where as friday i was 11.6 now i know scales are to be avoided some people prefer just to go by waistline was 36 now 30 im happy enough with the loss so far its just 5 pounds seems a bit much weight to appear within 24-48 hours on a scale

is this normal and will it drop now throughtout course of the day just bit baffled here

There a myriad of factors that can affect weight over the course of a 24 hour period. It's pointless weighing yourself everyday (and potentially demotivating). You want to choose a particular day where the evening / night before tends to be fairly well routined (i.e. not a Saturday / Sunday morning) and weigh yourself after using the toilet but before taking on food. Don't really check it anymore than once every forthnight.

Exactly, as Loyd said, you can "put on" weight for a huge number of reasons.

Something as simple as drinking 2L of water in 5-10 mins can make you weigh 2kg or 5lbs heavier.

Other things like glycogen stores a s salt consumption can have a big impact too.

Start weighing yourself once a week, Monday or Tuesday mornings, 1st thing in the morning on an empty stomach after having a pee (and after taking a dump is possible).

Track the weight that way, otherwise you'll drive yourself nuts going from day to day
