    Hi folks,

Are there any deals (preorder/special editions etc) in Ireland for this?

Got an email from Nintendo which says there is the console bundle, one with a Ganon figurine (which looks coool) and a Solus Edition, which looks like just the game on its own. Looks like these are preordered from Game.co.uk.

Any other options? Anyone ever buy from game uk?

Gamestop will have the console package, and of course the regular game, but no ganondorf figure bundle.

    No prices yet.

one problem with that you have online to download the game in order to play the game, some of my finds the wii hard to get online and sure they find hard to get online 2

For the regular disk version, the cheapest I've seen it is 48 on Zavvi.com and 49.97 on Gamestop.ie. Play-asia have it for 40.71 but that could be subject to a long delivery time and customs taxes.

Once again, however, Nintendo Europe is taking the piss by charging 59.99 on the e-shop whereas it's only 49.99 on the US e-shop. Unless and until they review their prices they will continue to fail miserably in Europe.

49.97 only online price, in store it €54.99 on 4th of october but still only guessing prices full price wont determine until 4th of october we will know real prices on lunch, beside from eshop u get double stars added to your account, but i getting my cheaper from gamestop with 25% off the original price, but gamestop isnt getting collectors edition for wind waker, just bundle edition and game i ask them last week and what they said, i mite by in hmv or smyths but no collectors edition in either stores i will buy it from gamestop to save money

Has anybody here ever actually pre ordered from Game.co.uk and received the game on time? I too have pre ordered the Ganondorf figure bundle but I'm worried that I'll have to wait until Monday for it to arrive.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,763 ✭✭✭wampyrus77

im not much worried its only a statue but a extra game like original wind waker then i would worried, besides its cost money transferring money euro into pounds and theres the delivery price

I'd assumed from DamoElDiablo's post that you need a UK address to order from Game UK.

Is this not the case? I can live with not getting it on release day if i get the figure. :-)

You don't need a UK address to order from them. Just insert your address and put EIRE into the post code and there shouldn't be any problems. I'm only being charged a little under £55 which comes to around €65/70. I managed to find a voucher code online which basically knocks £9 off the original price if anyone wants it. I just hope it arrives on the 4th, I've waited long enough as it is.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,734 ✭✭✭✭Ol' Donie

    Yeah, i'll take that code!

    Brilliant, thanks a million.

its only €54.99 at the most over here in gamestop, hmv is €52.99, smyths mite be €49,99

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 145 ✭✭Aokay

This bundle is much more appealing to me. I'm basically getting the figure for €15.

Why don't you just go with Game.co.uk? It's a pretty good deal. You could also go with shopto.net but it's likely it will arrive after the weekend.

Was watching thr trailer for that ganondorf figure and it reminded me of the Halloween episode of Buffy that had the fear demon. The intro of him made him out to be massive then it shows him and he's tiny. :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,258 ✭✭✭✭DARK-KNIGHT

can i ask what the general consensus is on the price point of this game?? its 60 euro do people not care seeing as its a zelda game?

btw i love zelda but 60 quid is a lot for a game that was released two generations ago

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,763 ✭✭✭wampyrus77

maybe i agree but i paid about €60 for same game in days when it launch on gamecube with bonus disc of ocarina of time and ocarina of time mq, but this time ireland isnt getting the limited edition version, just standard edition, why should we pay €60 when its only standard edition at that price we should get limited edition version.

Never finished the gamecube version and while I still have it a new shiny Wii U version is preferred. Managed to buy a download code off eBay for £33 this morning.

Wii U has no games lol

Was that a US code? - if so, does it work on EU consoles?

Nope UK code. As far as I know UK are fine and will work.

    USA codes don't work.

Thanks - I'm determined not to pay 60 Yoyos if I can avoid it.

its more likey usa/japan version code on ebay because the European version wont be release until this friday, wiiu is region lock so u cant play usa/japan version wiiu games on it. beside £33 pounds is €40 then £3 standard pp = €4 altogether u paid €44 for usa/japan version code and no 250 stars with it unless the code works more likey no, i rather wait until friday for real price beside gamestop isnt only store in ireland that getting wind waker, some stores might sell it cheaper €60 besides its only €16 more what u paid, i rather wait for European besides im get 25% discourt because i trade in game and preorder it, and it might come in limited edition so i might get statue which u didnt get.

Nope bought from a UK seller, email surpasses the need to post the actual code, so I will have it Friday morning.

@Wampy : The statue is Game-only, so unless you're getting on a train or a ferry, you ain't getting the statue. Put that out of your head. Otherwise you'll be disappointed.

@Wlttlw : I would have thought that any codes on the web would be download codes from the WindWaker bundle, people leveraging their otherwise unremarkable jobs to get staff discount and the drop on stock before official release, then selling the code to knock an even bigger chunk off the price of the console. They can then buy the game on disk using the staff discount and the money you gave them for the code, spend the change on ice-cream and popcorn. Cinema popcorn, because they now have that kind of money to burn, the filthy profiteers. And they can trade the game in again when they're done!

I was charged today for the Ganondorf Windwaker bundle I pre ordered on the 9th of September. Hopefully it arrives on Friday.
I emailed Game customer service inquiring if I could change my shipping preference from overseas delivery to a faster method as there was only one option at the time I pre ordered. They emailed me back saying that they don't ship orders outside of the UK over 1000g. I read their FAQ and it's quite unclear whether they do or not. Seeing as I was charged it should mean something, right? Right? :c

Might be off work on Friday so will be taking a trip into Derry, so may pick up the game/figure if they have it in Game there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,123 ✭✭✭✭Star Lord

I've mine pre-ordered from GAME.co.uk too, limited edition with the figure. I also got the email this morning relating to the payment for the order. I've got mine being delivered to the NI Parcel Motel address, so hopefully it'll get here on/before Friday!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,485 ✭✭✭✭Banjo

I keep forgetting Parcel Motel.... I wonder would that work with the Play / ShopTo X/Y 3DS-XL for £160 that's on today?

im not worried its only statue of Ganondorf in limited edition its was a extra games like previous version would be interest in limited edition since no extra games for limited edition, im go forget limited edition, i rather have more games then statue ganondorf

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,123 ✭✭✭✭Star Lord

The Ganondorf statue looked too good for me to pass up. It can sit proudly on the shelf above my computer, along with my statues of a Dead Rising 2 zombie, Ezio from Assassins Creed 2 and Connor from AC3.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,763 ✭✭✭wampyrus77

i rather see ocarina of time and ocarina of time mq in hd then of Ganondorf like they with previous wind waker on gamecube

They already did that for the 3DS, I can't see them redoing the whole thing again for the Wii U just for a bonus disk.

True, but you do have a 3DS right?
Regardless of that, it'd take a hell of a lot of work to make Ocarina of Time and/or OoT Master Quest again in HD, and it's not something that they're going to do for free to give away along with the Wind Waker HD version.

    yes ive 3ds,
but its was free with remake Ocarina of Time and/or OoT Master Quest with gamecube version

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,123 ✭✭✭✭Star Lord

The GameCube version of Wind Waker didn't have a remake of Ocarina of Time/Master Quest though, it was simply an emulated version of the game, so took minimal effort to emulate on the GameCube.
There's only been one remake of Ocarina of Time, the 3DS one, that was done recently, and was sold as a full price game for the 3DS.
Similar to this version of Wind Waker.

Xtra vision and hmv do not have this Zelda game for sale!!! WTF

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,485 ✭✭✭✭Banjo

Well, Xtravision *IS* HMV now, so it's only surprising that one of them isn't stocking it :)

Don't see it on Gamestop's site - anyone been instore? I heard they had it listed at €60 which is about as uncompetitive as you can be while still stocking the game...

Its on their site for €49. It is curiosly hard to find, but if you search for windwaker as one word you find it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,276 ✭✭✭readyletsgo

So we are looking at gamestop instore price of €59.99? Same in Smyths, for a remake... Argos.ie dont seem to list Zelda games anymore for some reason.

Where else is there thats on the high st?

Making me not want to use my Wii U with that price.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,734 ✭✭✭✭Ol' Donie

Do they often charge more in store than online? €60 does seem like a lot, especially considering they had Pikmin 3 for €40.

Worth it though, if you haven't played it before.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,681 ✭✭✭Wolverine359

Maybe Tesco? I heard they were to step up their game as regards WiiU marketing so they should be dedicating more shelf space towards it this Christmas. WWHD might go for €54.99 or even €49.99 there, wouldn't hold my breath, but definitely worth checking.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 764 ✭✭✭Terminator

I'm gonna buy it on eshop - €60 is way too expensive but it would cost me at least €55 plus €15-25 to travel to Galway City so I guess I should look at it that way. Also I brought some 20cs and 10cs to the bank and got €30 so it only feels like its costing me €30.
