Jesus, Manning could put last week's performance to shame against the Giants secondary.

Steelers will start the season 0-2! I'd say it's a good few years since that happened

I'm torn on Panthers & Bills, tough one

Titans to put in a lot of effort against the Texans but ultimately won't have the quality to go 2-0

Anyone watch the Seahawks game yesterday? How did they play?

The Jets and Pats game could be a lot closer than people would have expected before yesterday.

Pity Washington v Green Bay is not the early game on sky. Looking forward to the Manning bowl later in the evening, and Seattle v SF in the late game - really spoilt this week. Great to have football back.

Rams v Falcons has aleady the makings of a big game - Falcons can't go 0-2 surely?

They ground it out in the end. Borderline snorefest for much of the game, but it livened up in the final quarter.

Seahawks had next to no running game yesterday. Lynch went for only 43 yards off 17 carries. That Panthers D-Line is pretty intense and while they only ended up with 2 sacks I think, they put pressure on Wilson all day, particularly in the 1st half. Wilson seemed to be constantly scrambling.

That being said, he finished 25/33 for 320 yards and a TD. The touchdown pass was a 43-yarder down the left side-line to Kearse. It was a beauty of a throw.

As for Seattle's D, they held Cam to 125 yards passing even with Browner out. That secondary is scary good.

It's going to be a seriously tasty divisional match up next Sunday/Monday with the 49ers. Given the 1.15am start time, I'm a bit gutted that I've to be in the airport on the Monday at 6am. :(

Maybe I need to man up, power through, watch the game, and catch up on some sleep on the plane. ;)

The Mannings had a combined 912 yds and 11 TDs in week 1! They both completed 27 of 42 passes!

Some big teams facing the prospect of an 0-2 start, Steelers and Giants look to be in trouble but I fully expect the Falcons and Packers to come up with big performances.

To be honest the Jets were poor on Sunday. Tampa had a freakishly bad first quarter and only improved slightly (imo) yet it took a moment of madness to allow the Jets a chance to kick for the win. That Bucs side should have been out of sight, despite them playing so badly. I thought Geno did ok, not great not terrible, but I can't see the Jets holding up tonight, no matter how weak the Pats are out receiver/TE.
However I notice the Pats are trading 1.18, that is ridiculous, i'd have them 1.26 to 1.28 territory, but overall I think it will be pretty comfortable, not one to sit up till 5am watching!

The Jets D certainly weren't poor on Sunday. They limited a good back like Doug Martin to 65 yds with 2.7 yards per carry. They laid 3 sacks on Freeman and kept the Bucs to just 12 first downs all game. They'll play very tough against the Pats and keep the game close but the Jets O is unlikely to do enough to make it count.

yes, to be fair i'm probably reading too much into how poor the Tampa O was and not giving the Jets D enough credit. I suppose i'm used to the Jets D playing fairly well in general, its just their O that's usually a mess.

My last day off until Monday, and I got up early and worked out and was really active all day. Went to bed at 8pm to try and get a couple of hourse sleep and got about 90 minutes. 7.30am start in the morning and gotta work 12 hour shifts the next three days. Ugh, I'm going to be like a zombie all day tomorrow.
