Has anyone had surgery for osteocytes in the shoulder joint

I'm feeling terribly sorry for myself, I found out this morning that I have mild degenerative changes and osteocyte formation to the glenohumeral joint.

Basically arthritis in the shoulder. I'm only 28 and this happened during rugby training. (Wingers should not tackle props!)

Anyway's my doctor is sending me to a shoulder specialist. I'm hoping they will be able to do a debridement (clean out the joint and shave down the osteocyte) But I'm not sure if this is possible in the shoulder.

Has anyone any experience of surgery for similar problems?

(not looking for medical advice :))
